Nothing crazy. There is another member doing a build now "jrpontiac". He's using a T4? Gt45. I always thought turbos and chargers were big money, but it looks pretty obtainable if you get a part here n there and do it down the road. I'm going to funnel funds into the front end first. Have to see if it is better to get the bag set up I have upgraded and working right or go to tube A-arms and do coil over? She's a little shaky at 65, but once she hits 90 its pretty smooth :)

Whatever you do it’s gonna be slick!

Some pics of the new rims and tires. Did like the old school slots I had on before, just wanted to go a little bigger. Didn't realize how hard it was going to be finding tires though. Seen a set up on a Camaro that looked good, but when I put them on my truck; they looked like roller skates. Ended up going with 16 x 8 powder coated Steed D rims with BF G-Force 255/50R16's upfront and the biggest I could find Toyo poxes 275/60/16's in the rear. Also installed 1-1/2" spacers to push them out a little.

I like slots too but the new D-window wheels look really good. I'd like to get something similar. Is Steed the manufacturer?

Keep at it. The truck is cool!

Thanks. Rims are Pro Comp BP Series 52, which are powder coated. Got all (4) for under $100 on eBay new in the box. Bought one at a time and took about a month and a half. Cheapest one I got was $11, with free shipping. If you're willing to wait and make sure all the part numbers are the same, the deals are out there.

After a couple of unsuccessful attempts to find a hood, I've decided to modify the one I have. I'm staying away from the common cowl look, while trying to keep with Chevy themed styles. Found a 67' Chevelle SS hood on CL and I'm going graft the scoops on, we'll see what happens. Already started surgery, so there is no talking me out of cutting up the hood :).

Little update on the hood. Was able to convince the wife and a daughter to help he get the hood off and load it into my truck. My garage is way to small, so it's back to the shop we go. Got everything tacked up and had no major issues with the scoops fitting. Both hoods were pretty flat, so it all worked out well. Going to try to get the rest welded up this week and get some mud on it over the weekend.

Man, they make it look easy on TV! ;)
Ran into some overheating issues when welding. At the top corners of the scoops, the metal warped and I tried everything to heat and shrink to bring it back, but it didn't happen. Might of had a butt or two on the hood at one time as well. Did my best and decided to let the mud do the rest. Ended up skimming most of the hood and there has been a lot of block work. Have some final touch ups to mud and will start counting up the grits to get some primer on.

Thanks guys,

Weather was nice out here in Jersey on new years day, almost hit 60! Decided that I needed to get a cruise in. With no hood, felt almost like streaking :) Found a guy on eBay that refurbishes hood hinges and powder coats them, seller ( Clark101 ). Very happy with them and they were cheap! Roughly $166 with shipping. Also found some louvers that were a good price, because they weren't in the best shape. Having them powder coated now and will upload some pictures as soon as I get them back.

Hood is wrapped up for now. Faux vents came back pretty good. I went with a champagne colored powder coating to keep it muted. Will get some pics of it on the truck soon, hopefully. Will have to see how the weather holds up.

Hood is on!!!! With the help from my wife. Still have some adjustments to make and the new hinges are really stiff. It was a nice day and wanted to get a ride in, so I can take care of the particulars later......
