I got the TCI leaf kit for it. Supposed to lower it 4 inches. I’ll see if I want to go lower once I get it mocked up. 4x4 S-10 rear end.

I got a little time in the shop tonight. The truck is relocated and I got the rear end removed. I still have some brackets and things to remove and clean up, but the big stuff is out of the way for now. Has anyone seen bed mounts like this? They may be factory but look like farm work to me. My first AD truck so just curious, they seemed to work well so I may clean them up and reuse them. Another thing I need to start planning for is the cowls. They are by far the worst part of the truck. Anyone try patching the lip where the fenders bolt up? I'd like to save what I can since it matches the truck and I'm keeping it as is.

A little carnage in the shop tonight. Doesn’t look like much, but all the old brackets are off and it’s ready for the new rear end.

Yes, that's the way my old AD bed spacers looked too.

Are you buying patch panels or building your own? You may be able to cut back to good metal repairing the lip and only have a little exposed repair once the fender is mounted.

Good progress!

I plan on buying patch panels, I'm gonna try scabbing in what I can and hopefully it will work out. I changed plans a little last night, I went ahead and pulled the cab off. Gonna prep the whole frame now before I move on. I also picked up a 65 short bed for my next project, couldn't pass on the deal.

Ha, two in the garage. I know the feeling. Now when you get tired of working on one, you can work on the other....

Not much going on lately. Been working on stripping the frame down and getting it refinished. I’ll post some more pictures when it’s finished up. Appreciate the support, can’t wait to get it on the road!

Got a few hours in today. Doesn’t look like much but it’s forward progress. The rear of the frame is prepped and I got the first coat of rust converter on. Hopefully get some more new parts installed the next few days.

Little more headway tonight. I got the the rear suspension brackets mounted and the the booster and pedals removed. While I was there I decided to remove the trans crossmember. Frame is completely stripped down now. Just cleanup and paint now.
