Not to my knowledge but most probably don't bring it up. I am glad to hear you are comfortable with it, probably makes life with it a bit easier. How did this come about if I can ask?

Re: The new (and only) Tip & Flip cab dolly post!

It bolts on using the factory body mount locations. Sorry no pics as I have not had a cab mounted up in a few years now as I have gotten out of the rust business for the most part. Dealing now with mostly custom fab work of one type or another.

Great idea. I am new memeber, just bought a 71 K10 SWB. It is already disassembled just stuck it back together enough to get it on the trailer and home. Has all the normal rust and then some. Looking forward to getting started so just ordered a set of plans via Pay Pal. How long until the plans will be shipped out?

Hopefully Rok will reply and give us the scoop. I've PM'd twice with no reply. If he isn't going to sell these plans, he should delete thread or remove paypal links.:ito:

Re: The new (and only) Tip & Flip cab dolly post!

All orders as of last night are shipping today.

Sorry guys but I work 60+ hrs a week as a superintendent for a union shop in the Bay Area and do not have as much free time as I would like to keep up on the chat. I do appreciate the orders and I try to get into the shop as much as my life will allow these days to play and design.

So if I do not respond back to a PM right away give me a few days and i will reply when i get the time to check my box.

Happy building!

Re: The new (and only) Tip & Flip cab dolly post!

Where does the cab bolt to the dolly?
The support channels on mine needs replacement so if that's where the dolly bolts to it may not work. Thanks, Retired guy

Rokcrln 09-23-2013 07:01 PM

Re: The new (and only) Tip & Flip cab dolly post!

Yes it does bolt to the body mounts and if yours are messed up then you are exactly why this dolly was built. If you pull your cab off how are you going to make sure it will bolt back to the frame with out being twisted? What you want to do is bolt it to the cab dolly (the mounts are exactly were the factory mounts need to be) and then replace one area at a time assuring the cab will bolt on the chassis and not be twisted.
Just like when guys have good mounts but need to replace rockers and lower A or B posts this keeps it all in place.

I'm not trying to sell you on this just giving the facts as to why I designed and built mine in the first place. If it sounds like it will help, go for it. If not no problem and if you have any questions along the way send me a pm and ask away.

I'm sure it probably will, but would the cab and bed lift work for a 73-87? Any plans for a cab dolly for those years?

Re: The new (and only) Tip & Flip cab dolly post!

All plans have been sent out. Sorry for any delay in mailing we had some family issues come up that had to have my attention, for me family always comes first.
Again sorry for any delays. Also I am getting set up for electronic mailing of the plans so that will speed up time when I am not able to get home to package and mail right away. I still need to figure out how to list the option for snail or electronic mail.
