Looks like they mostly missed the memo on “car” night. 🤓

Yeah! The guy with Camaro drives a Tacoma most of the time.

It works better for fuel injected motors. https://www.bgprod.com/catalog/gasol...ystem-cleaner/ Apparently he wanted to practice painting on corrugated tin cause he painted the 44K side first.

While replacing the run channel and window felts I found the clunking sound in the left rear quarter panel. There was a hammer with the handle up in what would be the 4th door. Every time I would turn a corner it would tip one way or the other.

Looks like you have some work ahead of you... :)

I bet that hammer will clean up pretty good. Kind of neat looking.

Yeah just a lil surface rust on the hammer. I do have some work ahead of me. The big box is a full carpet kit the other boxes have door weatherstrips and threshold strips.

Oh yeah , you might recognize one of my headliner panels laying on the carpet box. :(

I changed the gas tank in the Burb today. Out with the old in with the new.

Somehow I missed the reason for the tank. Was the old one rusty or are you getting ready for fuel injection or?

Just was curious because I am still trying to decide which way to go with my fuel tank on my ‘68 burban, but I’m collecting parts to swap a 5.3 in.

The old sending unit didn't work and the bottom of the tank is all beat up . Plus I was having to change the fuel filter once a month.

Last month I started getting parts together to rebuild the front suspension. I had to borrow some 3/4 drive sockets and rachets to rebuild the control arm shafts .

I had to grind and drill the rivets in the top ball joint to drive them out. I borrowed a ball joint press to replace the lowers .

Looks good!

Those replacement bumpers look like they will give you a little more travel.

Just gotta love projects that go easier than expected. Good work!

You weren't exaggerating when you said the old fuel tank was beat up. It looks to be about a 10 gallon tank at this point.

Thanks. Yeah I don't think the tank can be salvaged.

I got a new set of shock relocation brackets as well as new shocks, u bolts and an adjustable trac bar. I've had lowering springs and mounting plates since last year. The only thing I'm missing now is a good dose of ambition. And better weather.

I have never heard of one doing that. Maybe something broke inside and bound it up. Never fun with the column installed.....

Yep usually the switch goes bad like this one . It's hard to get everything lined up and then get my old fumblin' fingers to start those little bitty screws and the stoplight switch connector is right there in the way. :waah:

I took my old steering wheel off Today to try to get restored and fix my turn signal switch 'cause it wouldn't cancel . I only needed springs replaced . I fished out the broken ones from under the switch and replaced them . I put a wheel I had in my stash on for now.

Looks good. Do you know what the wheel is from? I'm looking for a flat one like that for my Blue Dually.

I need to take both inner door panels off to get the door locks in and install my new window regulator in the the drivers door. Then I will be able use 1 key for all locks.:metal:

No problem. Your tailgate lock was in pretty nice shape compared to some I've done. It had been worked on before because there were some small parts in it that didn't belong.

I couldn't get them all out but it looked a little better. No big deal since I had it apart anyway.
