What tilt did you end up going with? Mine has gotten really loose and I have considered getting a new one. I have not heard much good on some of them though.

I bought mine from a boardmember about 4 years ago and still in a box. I am about to get it out and install it.

Re: 71 4X4 Frame off Restoration

Well I pulled the trigger on Dakota Digital Gages today. I ordered the HDX with the silver background for a little bling. options are OBD port module for the LS engine, electric fan controller with 2 30 amp relays, and dimmer switch. I talked to Joel at DD before placing my order to make sure I have what I need.

As for paint it's been 5 month and nothing has been done. I did talk to Anthony last week and he said he would be getting going middle of this week. so we will see.

Hey DW glad to hear from you as it’s been quiet around here. I got my DD gauges hooked up and they work great. I bought the temp and compass module. Of course the Bim module for the canbus to control the gauges.
I was able to use my Ecm to control my fans. Is there a reason you were not able to???

Hopefully you will be out of paint jail soon!!!

I forgot abut the ECM to control the fans. Its to late to have the sensor removed from the order as I received confirmation they shipped it out yesterday

Re: 71 4X4 Frame off Restoration

Well you may not want to even use it.... possibly can send it back. I am also setting up the stock A/C sensor so my ECM knows the A/C is on and will operate/adjust the idle and turn on cooling fans.
I will be uploading the file I tuned possibly starting mine tomorrow.

The big brown truck stopped at my house this afternoon just as I pulled up to my house with some bling for my truck. My Dakota Digital gages arrived and very cool.
