Advice please...I lowered my front end by cutting one round off the coil. Front looks good. It sits at 29'' to center of fender. I bought blocks (1.5") for the rear but have not put them in. I kinda like the stance, but the driver side is 31'' to from floor to center of fender and the passenger side is right at 32 ". How do get this to even out? The bed looks straight across the back of the cab..

Got any better pics of your inner tie rods.
Looks like something is assembled wrong. I just can't tell. |

not from that angle but have these.

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's
Looks ok from that angle.
Have you driven your truck since you lowered the front? It may just need to settle or the spring may not be exactly in place on the high side. Was it level before you cut it? |
Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's
what can I do to get the passenger side rear down 1 inch?
|
Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's
I have driven the truck about 25 miles since cutting the coils

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's
Jarwood - check the coil spring on the high side. Did you position (what I call index) the coil back into the lower a arm correctly? There is a possibility if the last turn on the bottom of the coil is just sitting in that pocket incorrectly, in could cause your leaning situation. Its easy to get that spring in there after its cut but there is a certain way it needs to sit in there.

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's
I double checked and it looks to be sitting in the correct place. The front of the truck is dead even at 29". The rear is the problem and I have not touched the rear, however it always set uneven in the back. I have lower blocks but do not want to use them until I level the rear of perfect. I was just wonder if there is something I can do to level it out before lowering the rear??

They are either sagging originals or torched originals. (got any pics of them?) Either way,... It would be a good time to install new springs. I bet stock rear springs would raise the back of your truck WAY up. Lowering blocks are a cheap way to lower the back. Or a way to get your truck lower than 6" of drop. I would install the spring you want first. Check with www.performanceonline.com for drop rear springs and related components. They have a sale going on now also. |
Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's
Good time for some drop coils in the rear?

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's
So do you think the springs are original? What size springs (drop) in the rear should I buy to match the front? I like the front at 29 inches for now. Maybe in the future I will put bags on...of course its all about money.

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's
What would the cost be to put in air bags in the rear??? Maybe just the bags and adjust them to the height I like. Any suggestions on where to buy them? Also I am guessing a schrader valve is to fill the bag up at desired height and the valve keeps the bag at that height??
