LOL, I don't even fit into the "constructive criticism" category :D I can't criticize anyone for anything because I have jack schitt in fab and welding skills. I've probably lit up my welder three or four times, tops. I'm afraid if I fire it up any more, I'll either destroy what I'm working on, or get so addicted that I can't stop. ;)

I was just genuinely curious. Everything I know about fabbing anything up, I pretty much learned from asking questions in threads like this (oh yeah, and watching guys like Lou fab stuff up on TV). I don't know where people go to learn this kind of stuff - other than maybe a school like WyoTech, but ... when you work 60hrs a week to fund your projects, there's no time!

I did however notice a slight problem in the design. I'll address that later.

Motor mounts? Inner fenders? I don't see those being a problem for ya.

Yo Slammed 1 I like that Dodge Ram. I've always wants to do one of those. For some reason you just don't see them all done up.

Thanks Lou,
I have been dropping/slamming/customizing the new Rams since they came out in 2002.I have been a gear head and building rides since I could drive, just found a calling with the newer Rams and started specializing in them.
My 2002 was basically my mobile advertising /calling card and got me established with tons of guys around the US. Im a Chevy guy die hard but like any V-8 old school ride except 4 door sedans(only Impala SS or Mercury Marauders). I even like wagons better than 4 door sedans, and dont mind dodges, fords,or others.

I myself, like you and others would prefer to build a part with my hands and tools rather than buy someone elses part. That pleases me to no end building parts and making things from scratch.

Good luck on your project and future dealings. I will try to keep up on the progress on the new one your working on now.

It's time for the rear end I thought about running a 9" Ford, but I decided to go with a 12 Bolt. I just figured it would be cool. I wanted to do a truck 12 Bolt but I could not find one so I'll use one on something else. Being that I'm lazy I just called Moser

lou did you ever come and pick a 63 blue buick rivera with a 401 nail head about a hour up from you. i think you and one more came and got it. the other guy that came with you had a voice problem. let me know if it where you. this would have been before you did the show. thanks

Re: For your viewing pleasure

Big Block 79, Yeah that was Me and the Great One (Pete) I need to find another Rivera. I wanted to pull the dash out of that one but never got around to it. I want to put one of those in the 78 I'm building the frame for now. Didn't you have an old sedan some thing like a 39 Buick or a Chevy?

Grady5, Those brackets are laser cut. about 6 years ago I taught myself how to program. I got tired of buying brackets that did not fit before I knew it I was selling them on E-Bay. I've got about 53 different brackets that I use when I build.

Crazy Long Horn that is the Moser 12 Bolt for a car I had them put the 9" housing ends on it I hate C-clips

Hey can some one tell Tony I need to have my shop swept it is real dirty.

I'm diggin the brackets. Where can we get them. I won't tell my truck they were designed by a squid. Semper Fi.

Re: For your viewing pleasure

Hey, Everybody The brackets are something that I did for about 4-years those were left overs. My friend Kenny who I grew up with is going to start sell them. With all the other stuff I have going on I will be needing them also. So give me a couple of months to get Kenny going. I will be doing some design work for him. I really want to focus on building. As soon as it is going I'll post a thread.

Re: For your viewing pleasure

Welcome Lou, it is good to see you aboard.
It's funny how the "suits" go looking for guys like Lou (not only skills but personality too) but then they want to hold them back?

Most of those shows are nothing but commercials for the suppliers. They are just going to the next level by showing people how to use their products. The more fabrication their is, the less product is shown. Muscle Car was my favorite from the beginning because it seems to be less like that. I understand the reasoning behind telling viewers where they can get the products that are being used, but it seems like the products drive the shows. I know that it is a balancing act, you need the sponsors to even have a show, but it doesn't have to look so much like an infomercial...does it?
Bullydog anyone?.....Trucks! wore me out with that one.
Then you have the opposite, getting too far beyond the average guy, so they feel overwhelmed/left behind then they get bored. Too technical (while appealing to guys like us) is not as commercially viable. Fabricating is great, but once you get beyond tools like welders, grinders, etc. there isn't much to "sell". Selling is what keeps any show on the air.

I knew that something was up when they brought in the new guy and started rehashing the old projects. I was sad to see Jared go and it will be worse to see Lou leave....but I sure was glad to see that body-builder guy leave Trucks.
As far as Jesse, I figured that her medical issues would be the end of her on that show. I was actually surprised to see her come back.
