He also cut the center out of the center cap with the mill.

I blasted and painted the buddy buckets bought last week from Huskerboy.
The may be finished this time next week.
I am going to Raptor line the inside of the center box to keep things from rattling and scratching paint.

Got the windshield in and also a neat repop 67 Texas Inspection sticker.

good idea on the center box, i'm planning on using the raptor liner for a lot of items on my truck.

We are scattering my 70 today.
It will be under project name Road Toad, 70 SWB 292 Step.

Need to find a 6 cyl tach dash, 292 PS pump and brackets, etc.

This one will be my daughter's.

Why is that family and friends seem to always hate the truck? Crazy.

Looks great and I look forward to seeing it finished.

The truck was a custom, so it had aluminum grill hoops andheadlight trim.
Needless to say, aluminum does not chrome real well, so I have been scrounging for clean metal ones for sometime.

Door gaskets are in, handles are on, doors are shimed.
Waiting to install the front windshield and may go back with rebuilt vent wings versus one piece glass. Not sold on the one piece glass thing.

May light it before New Year.

Merry Christmas all!

how much of a lift do u got on that truck?

Re: 67 SWB 4x4

It is suppose to be 4" but the rear is closer to 6".

I am going to remove the overload springs and it will drop another inch.

Also a full 35 gallon tank will drop it another inch.

Thank you for the kind words.

Installed the new carpet, shift knobs, and both buddy buckets. We have not painted the console box yet.

Seats need to be steamed or the truck parked in the sun for a day to get the wrinkles out.

Hi Mike, looking great. Who did you get your carpet through? Dennis

I did not Raptor the console yet.
For now I cut a piece of carpet and stuck it in there.

Dennis, got the carpet through Auto Custom Carpets.
This is vette carpet.
If you order from them, tell them to leave the carpet in the mold until the mold cools.
This carpet fit like a glove, I mean it was damn near perfect, and it was trimmed on the back and sides, excellent.
The picgtures don't do it justice, it is the exact same color as the truck.
I got the matching floor mats also, and enough to do the back panel.

We will add a small piece along the very top of the firewall since it is tall enough you can see up in there.
I hope to get the exhaust run Tuesday and then start this thing.

Car show this weekend, and we still have the one piece windows to install.

We got the mufflers run yesterday.
Flowmaster 40s.
Stopping right past the cab.
Sure looked good on the back of the tow truck.
We wanted to start it today, but the new radiator had a seam defect in it.
Napa wanted to exchange it for a plastic radiator, and I said no go, found one at Reily's.

Well here is the difference between a 4" lift and a 5.5/5" drop.
I really need a good set of trim rings for the rims, or maybe a set of chrome rallys for the 4x4.

The truck runs and drives, needs front end alignment and a final tune.
I will install the one piece windows this weekend, then go through a punch list of things to complete.

Little truck has 17 & 18"

My plan is to mess with people, driving one then the other telling them I am just changing the tires and springs.........

Finally got the door back on after installing the one piece windows.
It is a ***** to modify the hinge on the car, so we pulled most of the front end off to do it right.
I make some mods so they do not rattle when you slam the door.

The passenger door is kicking our butt about lining up.......
