Drivers side is like perfect
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...Picture107.jpg

Cleaned & sanded the firewall

And started painting the firewall (I went to paint it, but my blitz black was GOO, so I took my blitz black rattle can & prepped it so I could keep working)

Re: Killer

Looks killer !! Why didn't you throw some paint on that frame and crossmembe while the engine was out of it?? I like the second font..

Spray-Bomb 10-03-2008 11:57 PM

Re: Killer

Well the frame is actually just dirty from working on the truck, but I didnt feel like taking the time & hassle to dig out my pressure washer out (my dad is leaving soon & I need to get as much done as possible before he leaves)

Re: Killer

Is that windsheild look like its comming appart where it looks frosted?
I mean like the laminate on the inside is separating?

My 67 look like that too but never seen it in any other windsheilds. I have seen bubbled b4 but mine looks like 1 big bubble inside. Looks like your is doing the same thing in the same area. Down the a-pillars and across the bottom.

Re: Killer

Yes it is delaminating. Didn't know that was what caused the frosting, but went and looked at it. It separated the inside layer from the plastic?????

Re: Killer

Well yesterday we got the engine & trans in & bolted down

I know it doesnt sound like much, but with all the lil problems we ran into, it took quite a while

Some of the pics didnt come out so well so you can really see exactly how tight this thing is to the firewall, but its TIGHT !!!
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...Picture106.jpg
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...Picture108.jpg
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...cture109-1.jpg

Also had to cut the floor out for the high hump, cuz the trans was hitting & still needed to go up, so I sat it over the stock floor & spray painted a template
