Re: S10 build up for kid with Epilepsy
Anything but shAIM spindles. Belltech, DJM, McGaughys (not sure they make them).

Re: S10 build up for kid with Epilepsy
I've been thinking about doing an upper link mount like this for a while, and I got some time to build one today. The first one will likely end up on John's truck.

Re: S10 build up for kid with Epilepsy
Ooooo! Pretty!
Hey, sorry I haven't had time to test the compressors. My room mates and I have been at odds the last couple weeks. That and work kicking my ass has not made for a whole lot of free time... |
Re: S10 build up for kid with Epilepsy
Tested the compressors just now. I have one Viair 460C for you.

It's an 87, but any year S10 spindle will fit.

I spoke w/the manufacturer on the replacement spindles I'm getting for my Malibu & they're supposed to be shipping by next week. I'll follow-up & let you know if I get a verification that my new one's have shipped. I'll feel comfortable @ that point about removing the old ones (the car is in storage & I don't want it un-movable). |

Re: S10 build up for kid with Epilepsy
Not sure what you were still looking for stock-pieces wise, but, I have an assortment of odds and ends boxed up on a shelf from some s-dimes I had years ago that I saved when taking em apart, its on pallet racking in a garage a rent up north.
I know you cant re-edit old posts anymore on the board (or so I hear) but wasn't sure if you were still looking for basic stuff like taillights or anything of that variety? I have some smaller black interior stuff too, might be some good sunvisors, maybe a-pillar trim in black, things like that. But I know I had one set of good stock gm taillights left over that I don't recall having sold last time I did a swap meet (nothing fancy or altezza or euro style)... Anything like that be of any use? I'm in the process of relocating from New Orleans to Atlanta but will be back in my garage bay consolidating stuff after the 1st of the month and could mail a bundle out then... |
Re: S10 build up for kid with Epilepsy
It's missing some dash panels. I got tail lights and a window regulator for it.
It still basically needs some of the pricier suspension parts. Valves, spindles, compressor. Theres not much left needed to do the truck, but for some reason he has less and less money every time I talk to him. |
Re: S10 build up for kid with Epilepsy
So any progress on the S-10 ??
|
Re: S10 build up for kid with Epilepsy
I'm waiting on him to gather money for the rest of the parts before we start. I already have a large shelf devoted to storing what he has now, I can't afford 1/3 of the shop to be filled with his truck if there can be no progress on it. He says he has money now, but last time he sad that he didn't. So if he actually has the money we will order the rest of the parts soon, and it will come into the shop as soon as there is an opening.

Re: S10 build up for kid with Epilepsy
Good to hear that things may be moving forward.

Re: S10 build up for kid with Epilepsy

Edit: nevermind, i reread the previous post. i may have the belltech drop spindles at my parents house. let me check next weekend when i'm there. |

WOW! Thanks guys! I really appreciate that. I wanted to replace all of that anyway, to make sure the truck was perfectly safe for him, but it would have been on budget parts. Thanks so much. Do you guys have a logo you can send me?

Should have arrived today!

Re: S10 build up for kid with Epilepsy
I'll know tomorrow. Deliveries come late in the day, and I leave early for bowling. Tyler should have been there to receive it though.
|
Re: S10 build up for kid with Epilepsy
We should get together and have a bowling tourney, maybe raise some money for the build!
|
Re: S10 build up for kid with Epilepsy
We could all meet up at the National Bowling Center in Reno. Lol.
One of these will likely be my new ball for the Winter season. http://www.bowling.com/images/temppr...5494.large.jpg http://www.bowling.com/images/temppr...5118.large.jpg |

Re: S10 build up for kid with Epilepsy
Have you tried: The Beast by Columbia 300. That's what I use, it's got a offset rosen core. real good ball. I can throw a mean hook with it!
|
Re: S10 build up for kid with Epilepsy
I haven't. It's a retired ball, so it would be hard to get a hold of. My Dad rolls a Ti Beast though and throws a pretty aggressive hook, especially on wood lanes. He bowls with no thumb, unless it's the 6 or 10 pin. Interesting to watch.
I'm rolling a Brunswick Fury right now. I have to clean it after every set though because it dies really quickly. When it's freshly sanded though, I throw a bigger hook, but within a few games I'm moving right because it looses it's bite. That ball is pretty known for dieing quickly though, so I'm hoping the Hammer will be more consistent for me. |
