Thanks for taking the time to look through my build, it has definitely gone on for awhile. Talent with tig, nah, I just got it and have had to practice plenty to get it down to an art, it is a lot different than mig welding for sure.

Betty was laid down very carefully and as far as scratching it there is no paint on her so nothing to scratch right now, I just sand blasted it a few weeks ago. We don't move it around to much anyways, I should be done with the cab in a few weeks and I can prime her out and set it to the side and get back to concentrating on getting the frame on the ground and rolling again.

I am in for the ride my friend ;) I have another project right behind this one I hope to start on next spring some time which is my other build thread :chevy:

Started removing the old cowl panel today, no pictures yet but man I thought I had blown all those pesky pine needles out of there, boy was I ever wrong :smoke: This I feel was a very good choice as there is no good way to see underlying problems that exist. I will try to get some good pics tomorrow. :mm:

Well I spent a couple hours at the shop tonight and took some pics of me removing the cowl, even after hours of blowing air through the cowl there was still a good bit of pine needles and even a mouse nest built from the firewall padding. I am truly glad I decided to remove and replace the inner cowl panel. Plus there was plenty of heavy surface rust that needed to be treated. I will sand blast this and treat it with metal prep and por paint. Then it will be time to reinstall the new cowl.

I did not count them but there is a good number of spot welds in this one piece.

The new tool sure was worth every dime. So much quicker and better than the harbor freight cutters. Also two pics of the garbage that was lurking in the shadows of the cowl.

My new inner cowl panel came in yesterday from nsane hotrodz that I ordered just two days ago :metal: Of course I had to test fit it, seems to fit pretty well just a little tweaking here and there but over all real nice fit.
