Wow this build is amazing! It's almost the exact plans I have for my 71. I will definitely be using this as a great reference for info and parts.

Re: 72 Blazer - Here we Go

TECH TIME::need help. I'm having issues with transmission oil migrating into the transfer case. This in turn leads to oil spewing from the transfer case and a big mess! Is there a repair kit for this or have any of you LS swappers experienced this?? I've read that this could be caused by two seals in the transfer case adapter however since I modified it I don't know if it applies to LS swaps. Thanks in advance!

Front Fender Emblems came in from Billet Badges.

I also ordered a gasket and seal kit for the NP205. I hope these parts will solve the issue of transmission oil getting into the transfer case.

Re: 72 Blazer - Here we Go

Does anyone knpow where to get replica or aftermarket seat belts for the original rear bench seat - 72 blazer?

tubbedII 08-13-2012 12:06 PM

Re: 72 Blazer - Here we Go

If you're looking for originals, you'd need to keep an eye out in the classifieds for a decent set. Other than that, LMC or any other catelog has repops.

d.garza9 08-13-2012 04:48 PM

Re: 72 Blazer - Here we Go

@tubbedii - Checked LMC but only see belts for the front seat. Let me know if you've seen a part number for the rear nech seat - Thanks.

Re: 72 Blazer - Here we Go

Oh man...didn't realize that. I got mine locally at chevyland.com (a little pricey but was in a pinch). I checked out the truck and car shop and found these:
http://www.truckandcarshop.com/trucks60_72/t60_021.html

The only problem is that they don't look original at all and are just the folding type of latch buckle. If you're ok with that, then you're good to go. The rears are just non retracting belts. I think I have a set of parchment (or tan) ones in the shed from mine, but they were pretty dirty and I wanted black more than original...if you want I can take a look for them.

Sweet Blazer!! dont know how i missed this one. Got a few questions what size of lift did you go with? and what size of rims and tires?

Came out with a good balance of new and old.
