Yes I did measure the Corvette specs prior to disassembly, however, after the move, I have no idea where they are!!
Found an old picture with 26 degree reference for the rear mounts, pretty sure I made a cut in the frame for the front K member to sit in, welded it back at 13 degrees with the frame rails level.
Be happy to measure anything you need

Re: New 1958 Project

Hi Corvettruck, I'm working on a simular set up for my '57 useing an '86 suspension that i didnt get to take off from the corvette so I'm guessing just what angles ect everything was on the car. I see you built your own mounts for your corvette suspension. Would you do it again or go with purchased brackets and cross member? It doesnt look that hard just have to get things in the right spot. You are useing the vette leaf springs instead of coil overs, your setup does save a lot of money. Talk to me about how it all is working out for you and what if anything you would do different, Thanks, Blake

Re: New 1958 Project

Would definitely do it again to just build the brackets myself, the K member is a very good fit in the frame, all the other brackets are simple measurements.
I'd be happy to measure anything you need, the rear has a large amount of ride height adjustment, the front not so much.
Looks like the front will be where I want it when all of the weight is on the front
Good luck with yours

Re: New 1958 Project

Hi Corvett, if you wouldnt mind a question or 2, what do you have for a measurement from the center of the batwing to the center of the tires or drive axle? Also once the bat wing is located and pinion angle set to same as engine/trans angle the dog bones fall into place? Or is there an angle i need to figure out. Thanks for your effort when ever you get time. Blake

Re: New 1958 Project

Sorry to hijack a build thread...

Blake, the dog bones should intersect and land on the instant center. Check out this link that shows how to find instant center on IRS.
http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...so-much-4.html

You can lay it out on the floor in full scale, then build your brackets off of that. Here is how I did it.

Back at it finally, have the bed completely mocked up, took me forever to land the rear bumper brackets and roll pan, happy with the result, pass door fitted now, still plugging away on the cab, could not get the front fenders close enough for me to be happy, going to try a set of AMD fenders, should be here next week.
Everybody likes pictures, here's a few
