Tbone, have you seen THIS thread? Have you given any thought to building this type electronic speedo clusters for the electronically controlled transmission trucks?

Yes sir, I think a lot about doing something like that. So far, I have had no time to work on the idea. I guess that is a good thing.

If I do something like that it will have to be a method that is quick and repeatable. I would also need to have access to all of the parts needed. I guess I am thinking have a set up that is ready to install in a customer cluster when they are ready for it rather than have someone wait for months each time.

TTT,

Ask me about restoring your gauge cluster. There are also many options to a standard restoration. Ask me for details on your specific needs.

Thank you to all for your business. I appreciate all of it.

What are your thought on adding vacuum gauge with a repop gauge? I already have a tach cluster with new bezel and circuit board. I'd like to have it cleaned and tested though.

Remember, I give two microfiber towels with a cluster order or restoration service.

I will stand behind my work and offer a 90 day warranty on all cluster restorations.

Ask me about my own tach harnesses for point style and HEI ignition systems.

Thank you for looking,
Tom

Tom, I'm a loyal follower of your savy work on these clusters, Iv'e had better luck at zeroing out the speedo with the square slot beter than the later style with the round hole on the tin. The 67 one I had zeroed out was the square one and I gave it away to gdavis on this fourm. Is there a way I can zero out a 63 model c-10 speedo for a friend, are they the same style or same situation....Kinda like a rubik cube ha ha....Also do you offer silk screening services for cluster that have rusted??? If so I may need some work done..God Bless.....

You should be able to zero the odometer on the 62 the same way as the 67. I am not 100% sure I follow you on the method. Are you talking about the square hole where the speedometer cable goes? When you say "the later style with the round hole in the tin" I am not sure what you are talking about.

What year cluster do you need silk screening on? I can do it either way. The actual silk screening is a little pricey or there is the overlay option which is more affordable but limited to what year you need it for.

Let me know and thank you,
Tom

I am not sure I would call them rare. Although the air gauge was not used on the 10-40 series, they were actually pretty common on the 50 + series trucks with air brakes. Someone correct me if I am wrong but I personally have never seen one in a 40 series.

They are now commonly used on our trucks for people who have air ride suspensions as a monitor of air pressure.

If you have one that is in better than average condition, it is worth in today's market about $250.00-$450.00, depending on condition. A completely restored one might get you close to $600.00

Another note is that these air gauges or lenses are not reproduced.

Hope this helps
Tom
