Builds like this remind me of the Johnny be Good lyric "playing the guitar like he was ringing a bell". :metal:

Re: My first blazer!!

i stripped the chrome after narrowing them and shaving the bolts, Then a metal etch primer. Finally painted them base/clear in what our wheel shop calls hyper silver.

Got it 70% wet sanded and buffed and my buffer died, had to run to work this morning and grab another one. Also picked up my new rear seat this morning, 3rd row tahoe seat in black leather to match the fronts!! Got the inside of the roof sprayed as well, interior is going 2 toned in chocolate brown with black carpet and seats

Great build! I just picked up a k5 and I'm debating on leaving it 4wd or converting it to 2wd. I really like the way your seats look and Im thinking of upgrading my seats as well, how did you mount them up?

Re: My first blazer!!

the fronts i had to build a bracket to hold them in place on the tunnel side of the seat. the outer i used the factory hole in the front and drilled a new hole in the rear. For the rear seats I used 1/2" u bolts through the floor so they operate like they did from the tahoe. You can pull the levers to pivot them and remove them like the factory did. Just make sure you reinforce the area with a large thick washer etc. as the seat belts attach directly to the seats

How much Drop do you have. I'm trying to decide if I'm going with 2/5 or 5/7. Also what size are your wheels. Thanks in advance.

Re: My first blazer!!

I still don't have the damn thing back.....Transmissions been in and out 4 times now, Still slipping between 2 and 3 shift under heavy throttle. Shop is thinking now its a transmission case issue where theres possibly a crack in it somewhere thats letting the pressure bypass? Hell I don't know. Thinking i shoulda just bought a new one! lol
