Thank you for making a Quality product and sharing it with us. They are well worth the money. And Ill be proud to have them in my truck once my truck is ready to Recieve them. I will post pictures once Im to that point of my project, which might be 10 years from now, with the time I get to spend on her.......anyway thanks again

got mine in today. very happy. they look good, fit well and sound great!!!
they were a bit hard to get to the bottom mounting tab. i think it would be much easier with the seat out.
I still need to pull them back out and paint them(think I will pull the seat when i do), just ran out of time today;)

Would the new design work with the older ones? I would guess so but not sure if you had a better idea for the new ones.

The new and old designs will be slightly different, I don't think the 1st series can be modified to fit like the 2nd series. I am not even sure the 2nd series will work or be any better, but you never know until you try right? :)

It should be about the same...within $5 of the previous. The last batch cost me $70 more to make, steel prices must have been up. :(

Yeah, let me get it all put together...I spent yesterday roughing them in and drilling all the holes in the cab corners and the brackets. Got the brackets painted and I need to get a little weather stripping for the final installation.

I have some crappy camera pics
finally got around to pulling mine out, cleaned them up (light surface rust from installing them raw), welded up the corners, ground them smooth, and took them Scotts62 to powder coat them gloss black with his Hot Coat system.
can't hardly wait for the finished product.....i'll post better pics when they are done.

oh and by the way...... after i pulled the brackets i just stood my 6x9's in the corners.....what a difference in sound your brackets make!!!

I love the welded corners, I plan on doing that to my set as well. It really isn't needed, but it sure makes them look good! Yes, please post better finished pics when you get them back. :)

i was pretty motivated to get these back in seeing as this is my daily driver, and i had to endure lousy sound for 2 days with out the brackets :lol:
I pulled my seat and seat belts, made it sooo much easier to get to

notice there are extra holes in the bottom, the first time i installed them I got the brackets too low, so now that i had room to work, I corrected it.

Looks good, install looks nice. I see you modified the bottom mount slightly?

I am going to paint mine to match my trim, and upholster the rear cab panel...even above the speaker mounts covering the screws.

all i did to the bottom was round the corners and drill too many holes :lol:
looking back at your install, i think I like them better a bit lower :banghead:
