Got the reverse lockout wired for the T56 6 speed today...was pretty easy. I actually read the directions. :D Tomorrow will wire the reverse light switch on the trans tomorrow...then I can button up the high hump and finish the install of the rubber matt. I also ordered a gear shift boot today as well...

Not today, but over the last few weeks.

• Installed LED license plate lights
• Installed a center mount LED reverse light
• Replaced lower ball joints and idler arm
• Retorqued the inner tie rod nuts
• Replaced the CPP steering gear box with a new unit
• Repaired/replaced the locating pins for the lower control arms
• Installed power windows
• Installed push button start
• Finally, had the truck realigned

Nice list! Do you have pics of your LED reverse light? I haven't decided how to do my reverse lights yet.

I'll try to take a picture tonight. It took me a while to figure out what to do because I liked the look of the rear without the factory reverse lights. It was rather simple though after I found the solution because you can't tell it's there until it's lit.

Here are some pictures. Hope they help. I bought the light through Amazon. It is a little pricey though. The led light mounts on license plate frame so you don't really see it unless you're looking for it.

Installed horn ring and door panels today... Still need to repair some rust at the bottom of the doors and paint them silver...but starting to look more finished.

Went up and put some more of the truck together. I need to be out of the shop by the end of the month after 20 years he says to leave. It's okay it's a dirty place anyways I'm going to find a cleaner one. I don't know if I want to leave it dropped or put it back to stock height. My son also did a little more work to his truck. He finally got interested and now I have to leave the shop and find a new one.

Don’t get discouraged, it always seems when one door closes, another opens up..in the end this may have been a blessing in disguise....

I fixed my driver side window so it doesn’t push out the sheet metal on the outside when it goes up

Got to see what this thing looks like, now that I've shortened it. This is the first time it's been "assembled" since I took it apart.

Still a LONG ways to go.

After a long break I am in the new shop and the firewall is cleaned up and painted and the engine is mocked up for the last time.

Finished wiring in the front turn signals/park lights, hard working on one leg, kinda broke a femur....

Thanks MT65. I was trying for a stealthy look. Just wish I could have found something cheaper. It sure is bright though. Both my brothers made the mistake of looking at it when I put the truck in reverse. :lol:

After 25yrs, I finally have a new windshield installed. Finally on to adding inner fenders and wiring. Hope to have it under its power by my bday in May. As long as its been sitting(27yrs), I almost gave up....glad I didnt! I don't know why my pic is sideways.

Did the jeep wiper arm mod which allowed me to fit 15" wiper blades and added Detroit Speed Selecta-Speed Wiper kit. Worked wonders with the recent SoCal rain we had over the weekend.

Spent the day trying to get my steering column from squeaking. It has some play at the top near the wheel. It squeaks when I wiggle it up and down not when I turn it. I failed to get it to stop squeaking. It has a new bearing at the bottom and top. The top one is the one with the play. If I tighten it using the clamp and spring at the bottom of the column and the rotating ring at the bottom it pulls my steering wheel to close to the part of the column that houses the blinker mechanism and the wheel bottoms out and will not turn. It is an aftermarket wheel.

Cleaned up my firewall on my 1961 Apache 10 this weekend. gpk1961
