Re: Project Picacho

Well -I am a little bummed as I am not going to get "Picacho" done for GG this weekend. I ran into a few snags with the brakes tonight that pretty much squashed it for me.

Oh well, I am very appreciative to Nathan (Porterbuilt), and Scott (SM Powdercoat) and a few neighbor buddy's who have helped me try and meet my goal. It was a little hectic the last few days - but still a lot of fun!

Thanks again for all the comments and support guys!

Ya. Scott - ended up not able to get the calipers back together (tore a seal) and the rear seals for the hub will not go in AT ALL! I had a few of my neighbors over here to see what they thought and after destroying both of them - going to both O'Riely's & Autozone, to see if they might either have them or one that would actually fit the hub - came up empty.

I work tomorrow, so not a lot happening - except for a few calls to Mcgaughy's to find out about this hub/bearing seal debacle!

I will probably head out there Sat too so maybe I will see ya.

Ronnie

That sucks that its something so simple holding you up.. I think id try a mom and pop autostore may have better luck with the seals.

I have a trailer so maybe that is what I will do - since I paid for registration!! But I would rather sit in my garage and work on it then be teased by all those pretty trucks -:lol:

No - as it has the Mcgaughy rotors! Plus axles have been cut down to fit rotors.

I am shooting for Sunday now! Unless I make crazy progress tomorrow!!!! Sunday is usually when I take my family, so that would be fun.
