Chevrolet 1962 Pickup/Suburban/Van Truck Shop Manual CD
http://americanmotorabilia.com/store...ges/TSM60C.jpg http://americanmotorabilia.com/store...vjtnxqxaorcxvv This brand new Chevrolet Truck Service Manual CD-ROM covers 4 x 2 and 4 x 4 (FWD, four wheel drive) 1960, 1961 and 1962 Chevrolet 10-40 series light duty trucks, including the ½ ton, ¾ ton & 1 ton Pickup & Suburban; plus 50-80 series heavy duty trucks including the Step-Van and Tilt Cab Body. Maintenance information on 1960 Forward Control models is not included in this manual. All Forward Control information found in the 1958-59 Truck Shop Manuals applies to the comparable 1960 Models. This CD-ROM is the equivalent of three separate original shop manuals in one as it replicates in their entirety, all 922 pages of the 1960 Chevrolet Truck Shop Manual plus the 46 page 1961 Chevrolet Truck Shop Manual Supplement and all 263 pages of the 1961-62 Chevrolet Truck Shop Manual Supplement, which covers the Tilt Cab, Four Wheel Drive and Powermatic Transmission, in a convenient CD-Rom format. This CD is loaded with specifications, illustrations, photographs and guided instructions covering: General Information (including a Load Capacity Chart); Lubrication; Frame & Suspension; Steering; Rear Axle; Brakes; Engine Tune-Up; Engine Mechanical; Electrical Systems; Fuel & Exhaust Systems; Clutch; Transmissions (Manual & Automatic); Body & Sheet Metal; Accessories; Four Wheel Drive and Specifications. Produced under licensed agreement with Chevrolet, you can be confident this CD is an accurate reproduction of the same Chevy Truck shop manuals that an authorized Chevrolet dealership mechanic would use to service your truck when it was new. You will find it very useful when restoring or maintaining your classic machine. To use, open file(s) in Adobe® Acrobat® Reader. Browse pages as desired, or jump directly to a specific section using the table of contents page. Simply place the cursor over the section of interest; click the mouse button once and the program will instantly take you to that section. Since the PDF files are searchable, you can also type a key word or phrase in the Acrobat® Reader search field and the program will automatically scan the open manual and give you an instant link to every location in the manual related to your search command. The PDF formatted files on this CD are compatible with Windows or Macintosh operating systems using Adobe® Acrobat® Reader 7.0 or higher. This software is free and can be downloaded directly from www.adobe.com. Please visit Adobe's web site for further details and instructions on installation, upgrades and use of their software. Lower versions of Adobe® Acrobat® Reader will not work and you may get an error message saying the files are corrupted. |

Re: Roll call... 1962's!
I have a 62 that I have owned for 42 years. It has been through every member of the family and I am now restoring it. I have completly sandblasted and restored the cab and front to brand new and it is in paint. I am using a maroon urethane 5 coats color sanded and polished. I put a 350 small block with all Edlebrock chrome and new power steering and power disc brakes. I changed the torsion bar to a 1980 chev truck front suspension. New wiring and every thing new on the interior panel except the gage cluster. I was shocked how much welding it took after sandblasting and how much new metal in the doors and sills. I was also surprised the cab top stayed on the truck in the wind.
I would like to attach some pictures to show the progress but I am not sure the process you guys are using to post the pictures. I have all my status pictures in my windows photo gallery. |
Re: Roll call... 1962's!
To post pictures, once you've typed your text, scroll down to where it says 'manage attachments'. Click on that, and then click on 'browse'. That will take you to your computer, and then you'll have to navigate from there to find your pics. Once you have selected your pics, click on 'upload'. Once they are uploaded, close that window, and click on 'submit reply'. Done. Note that it is possible that you may have to reduce the size of your pics to be able to upload. That should be doable in your Windows photo gallery.

Re: Roll call... 1962's!
I just found this thread while doing a search for mirrors on '62 C10. After reviewing all the '62's here, I think I'm going to go with the rectangular 5x7 mirrors. Here's a picture of my truck - 'Ol Blue (rattle can paint job)

Here is a shot of my 1/2 ton 4x4 burb.
I just got it a few weeks ago and I might be selling the newly powder coated grill, front bumper and rear bumper. It depends if I can find another decent 62 grill to chrome. So if you are interested just hit me up. Thanks, AJ Attachment 693028 |
