You'll live the air ride man. One of the best things I've ever done with mine. If you can afford it just go right to a self leveling air management, even if it's just pressure based. It gets old after a while trying to adjust with just buttons an a gauge. I really want something like e-level now.

Big Thanks to Mike "Dads79GMC" for hooking me up with the 2 link kit. Now I have the front and rear suspension... just need the notches, 4 bags, and the air management system! Oh, and another truck to drive while I tear mine down! LOL Gettin there...

No problem! As for air management, I just bit the bullet and purchased AcuAir ENDO CVT with the sensor air management system. It's really about budget. I'm looking forward to installing mine. Enjoy, Mike

I am with you bro... that is why I wanted to go with the simple 2 link in the rear with wishbone to hold it in place... I want to put my money in the air management system and can redo the rear later. Looking to go with the Endo CVT system... seems like the best bang for the buck and its clean and easy to install.

Mike, I am looking forward to you installing yours too... that way I can see how you do it! LOL Its always easier to have an example to follow. I have some time as I have to find another daily driver to roll while I tear into mine. I never just do what I plan to do so... will clean up the frame and rear end... hopefully, put a posi unit while I am back there too...

I don't know squat about air. But, if or when... I'd also buy $$ the endo system.

I like how everything is in the tank but, it makes me think about moisture and electronics together... kinda worries me though...

Since it was Valentines Day, I worked on my trucks jewelry. Took off the tailgate panel to clean it up, remount it because it was falling off due to PO not putting it on right and repaint the black on the Chevrolet badge. Here it he before and after... I have LEDs in my garage so, it makes the black look weird when it was wet... it dried super nice. I will take another pic when I get it all back on... it was too nice to do today so, I took the Harley out for a "Freedom" ride. :smoke:

Thanks Mike!

I started a flying eyeball on an old skateboard deck too... need to get back into painting and pinstriping. Just tough to make time to practice every day.

That explains the 1-Shot. I haven't seen that stuff in years myself.

When I starting learning to pinstripe, I learned from an old dude that swore by 1-Shot and Mack brushes and that is all I have used since. I do have a Kafka brush that is a lot more forgiving when you hit curves though... I just do it for fun and the nostalgia of it. My mind goes 200mph and painting forces me to slow down and take my time. It's peaceful. :smoke:

I am just trying to get back into it since its been a while. My damn eyes aren't what they used to be anymore either. I gotta throw something on my truck but, not sure what I want to do when I get back up to speed.:waah:

If you are bored, in my 67 C10 thread (page 9), I did some work on it cuz the paint was crappy and I could afford to mess it up. the hood and heater delete turned out ok... I think I posted some practice stuff on glass I did too.

Thanks guys... It turned out a lot better than I expected. I saw a color matched front end on a c10 in the background on that show Texas Metal (the red one) and I figured, that has to look good on white too! I need a new grill anyway so, it was low risk to try it.

I need to get a good striping brush and give it a shot one of these days. I have needed to outline the flames on the Jeep for years, but since it is a trail Jeep it isn't real important. It is certainly the right vehicle to learn on though. I will have to look for a Kafka.

For sure, the Khafka is much more forgiving... especially with curves because you dont have to turn your hand to keep the brush flat like the Mack brushes... it definitely takes "a lot" of time and practice to look decent. I am going on a few years now and its still nowhere close to good. LOL

Alright... whats next on the truck? Still saving for my air management system so, cant do bags yet... after that is the LS swap...

Maybe I should work on why my dash lights don't work. When I have my dash fuse in and turn on the lights, my headlight switch starts to smoke? Any ideas?

I am thinking of changing my interior from blue to red too. It is just the door panels, dash and seat. I hate the blue interior!

Smoking switch sounds like a dead short somewhere. Can you see any melted or obviously broken wires?

Yeah, thats what I have been thinking but, can't find evidence of broken wires or a dead short anywhere. Its driving me crazy. LOL The last electrical problem in my truck that I have to fix (since I got it a year ago). Everything else works like a champ now *knock on wood*.

Is it just me that has a hard time reading threads on here that are getting sponsors or free stuff from companies to build their truck? I fast forward commercials on TV... Now, I feel like I am reading commercials for products in threads now... I guess I just have to stick with the homegrown blue collar builds. I should clean up my thread subscription list.

Love live the daily driver!

That's how that sh...tuff works. In order to get the free goodies you have to be an online ambassador for the company. I see it on Facebook too with guys having a mile long list of stupid hashtags after every picture of their ride.

I guess that is the price you pay when you sell your soul to the devil. I wonder who gets the money when they sell these builds that have sponsored parts? Many of them go for big bucks once they run their course. It just irritates me... Mike, you know... I am retired and still working just to afford my toys. Its tough...
