yea trying to at least its better than the other guy having it ( the guy that i got it from) if it wasnt for the frame messing up it would have eventually had a blown motor and possibly mad into cans by now cuz the guy i got it from did not care about it just as long as it would do what he wanted.dont get me wrong i put this truck thu hell but i try to fix what is wrong with it or do wat i can to it to fix it.. end result being its in better hands now and if i didnt say i wanted it i would not have had tis truck.and would not ever think about let my baby go any were

Re: my 87 chevy project

If you need help fixing the frame u got I can help. I wouldnt replace it just because of the cracks around the box. You can get the repair section and braces for less then 200 bux. You can get just the repair section for under the gear box for like 60. I wouldnt do a frame swap just for the little damage you have .. UNLESS you are going to do a frame off complete resto anyways I would just fix what you got. Let me see if I can find the link to what I'm talking about.

How did you fill the cowl? it looks good!

spudz 12-21-2010 11:10 PM

Re: my 87 chevy project

You need this kit GU39002 Use link below to find it. Its 70 bux but is 10% off I think. If you still replace the frame, I'd be interested in your old frame. I have a 87 GMC long bed that has a bent frame in the middle from being put in a ditch. I got it for parts but if I could get an already stripped lwb frame I may just swap it on it.

I dont want to buy your new frame, I want to buy the one you take out from under your truck. I dont need any suspension. just the rails. or whatever one you have left over after the swap
