I bought my wood at Lowe's because I am doing this as a budget build and most kits I saw were anywhere from $500 to $800+. That's just way too much for my blood. So I bought 9 1x10x10 for only $153.00 & my neighbor has a wood shop out behind his house & has agreed to cut, drill & finish out the wood boards for me, for a small fee.

My boy hooked me up with this on the roof of the 68.. It's been a very expensive 2 weeks for me ... New rearend with 373's and a new posi, new for bearings, roof painted , new windshield & gasket and now gotta install a new driveshaft on Monday

I know this is a super old (in internet and forums terms) post, but dang that is one of the nicest panels I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot. Congrats on that.

Today I installed the rally wheels that I painted yesterday, replaced a warped pully on the crank, and tried to isolate where a vibration was coming from in teh motor (hence the pully replacement). I also swapped the carb.

Attachment 1324176 the gaping holes in the Firewall .

Attachment 1324177 Notice the complete separation of the floor and toe board ! this is why I had to replace the cab ~ whenever I went around a corner , the floor remained still but the cab shifted 1/2" or more ~ UN SAFE ! .

A reminder :

FREE CAB with good rust free roof and corners , in Gardena , Ca.

Come get it fast before they cut it up .

Dash is good and uncut too , everything else is trash .

You'll need a trailer and helping hands ~ this is a working Paint Shop and they don't have time to screw with old junk .

Bought a new used bumper. Sanded down the black paint and took off the rust in back. Removed the tow ball and put plugs in the holes. New paint and a serious polish and the chrome looks Great! Looks as good as new, $60 bucks.
