Re: my 87 chevy project
I am not a body man by any means, but I have a full set of snap-on hammers and dollys Ive never used. You are welcome to borrow them if you want to give em a try. Plenty of good info on the net on how to use them. Just get it real close and thin skim coat of GOOD body filler. No bondo brand crap. even have air files and DA. Bought it all thinking I would give body work a try since I am a mechanic by trade I figure I would self teach body work and be self sufficient. Never have tryed tho haha.

Re: my 87 chevy project
EVERCOAT GOOD body filler just like stated above, don't get the cheap wallyworld or the stuff you get at the local auto trap. i found drilling small holes when applying bondo will help it hold better. just an old trick my grandpa taught me, who was a bodyman. here's a link on how to spread it. http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/b...ler/index.html

Re: my 87 chevy project
Yeah it looks different in different light. Sometimes green sometimes blue. And yeah I would put it on the road if it wasn't such a rust bucket because I really like the 70's models to. Such a shame really.:waah:

Re: my 87 chevy project
Well like I said in the other thread that the pics are in i'm tring to find a truck with a good body so I can swap over all the drivetrain and suspension part and take out all the good stuff. Then more than likely scrap what evers left.
