wow frame looks dirty :( im gonna have to do some clean up... got some better under coating today the rustoleum undercoating is nuckin futs! it goes on all bumpy and nice...... then 19 miutes later it dries like a rough/smooth black where it has fake runs... so the new stuff is nice and bumpy like it should

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

oh yeah forgot to tell what i did... i put the chevy tailgate back on put the grill on painted the radiator support and also undercoated the splash apron and painted the top black then i installed it. im going to try a idea.. well half mine half my dads, he said use JB WELD i said drill a hole... the thouht is to JB WELD the head of a bolt to the dent of a tailgate then when it drys bolt a chain to the cherry picker and start jacking it up as someone heats up the tailgate around the dent. so i snaded it to bare metal on the dent also sanded to bare clean metal the head of the bolt and tommorrow im going to get the shop hoist and try it out. if the JB WELD cracks and it doesnt hold the bolt to the tailgate then i will drill a hole and put a bolt through the tailgate then rechain it.

Makes sense to me. Sounds like a good idea. Also seems like something one of us KY or TN boys would come up with!

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

haha raymond i guess i have some KY TN in me! well today the 4 by and my 67 got some love! finally got my dad some clips for his door handles... them thngs have been fallen off everytime you shut the door... my sister complain out the azz! and my 67 got headlight adjusting screws and the little plastic nut thingys so finally my headlights dont flop around! then i realized during storage they broke so now i need both new headlights :(

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

well; progress to the 67 is: tyler dented my tailgate down by the e or t under that area so i had to weld bolts (3) to the 3 dents on the tailgate ( JB WELD sucks! it broke off when i was tightening the nut) so finally got that big nasty dent at the top looking alot better, now it looks like tha farmer backed into a pole at about 6 miles an hour instead of 35 miles and hour LOL. and all the lights and stuff work once more. got the wiring plugged in for that and also got a inline fuse to attach to the spotlight wire and got that installed and working. so i will be logged in as tyler so i can picture when i go to his house tonight, we are going to take the rest of dents out of the tailgate.
