Re: baclay9's 83' SWB Build

Yeah man I got it igured out. Let's just say... I'm an idiot.

The powder coater got my last pulley finished today and I had to have my brand new clutch fan powder coated. Why would they paint them gold?

I will be home in a couple of weeks and should have the motor completely wrapped up. I ordered and paid for my ceramic coated Sanderson headers on 3-11-11, I called two weeks later and they were being ceramic coated when I called. I called yesterday to find out where they were and guess what, they were being ceramic coated. I think somebody might be fibbing. They better be nice is all I know.

Ya they better for being coated twice

Cool man glad you got it figured out. So the pulley you got from me the other day worked out then, right?

It looked like it was going to work to me. It is the correct part # so it should.

If I can figure out how to get the pics to post from my image shack account on my phone I will give you guys some updated pics. I got the front of my engine buttoned up and got my headers in. I just need to get another alternator and power steering pump. These are the best pics I have for now. I will get some better ones once I get it all set in the frame. I am going to try to go to the tranny shop and have him get started on my trans tomorrow.

Baclay9's, what make and type headers are those? Sweet build greg

baclay9 04-14-2011 08:20 AM

Re: baclay9's 83' SWB Build

They are Sanderson BB8 headers. The quality on them is unreal. Plus they are 3/4 length headers so they won't hang below the frame. The ceramic coating looksawesome as well.

I am actually off for two weeks right now. All I have to do is get the trans painted and I can drop it and the motor in the frame. I am having a hard time setting the time aside to get it done. It is driving me crazy!!!

Re: baclay9's 83' SWB Build

Motor and Trans is in. I thought I was going to be able to get away with the stock crossmember but I would have to run the passenger side exhaust under it and it would be way to close to the ground. I think I am going to go get a piece of thick walled 1"x3" tubing and make a crossmember out of it. I think both sides will go over the top of it. After that I need a slip yoke and get my drive shaft modified. Then I have a posi to drop in with a little help from this feller I know. THEN I can finally set the cab back on.

I know everyone loves pics so here you go.
