Wow, it's been about years since I've seen that many vintage trucks in a wrecking yard. Thanks for sharing.

I was wondering how long it would take for you to make it to this thread. You have lots of good stuff out there. The block in my truck came from you (250ci). Also replaced the spare tire fender on a '58 stepper we use to have with one without it.

It's depressing to see sheet metal in a yard in better shape than your own project.

Here are more pictures. The blue stepside GMC is one I plan on building. It already has a 73 disk brake front end. the 65 chev in the last picture is a complete body Nothing has been stripped from it. Has a good tile That the numbers match on both the frame & cab.it needs a engine & trans.

Thanks for posting photos. There appears to be many un modified originals on your lot. Any original steel wheels 17.5" 6 lug or 19.5" 8 lug?

The only 17.5 wheels I have are 8 lug. I have some ton truck dual wheels that are 19.5. I once had a pair of 19.5 singles. ran them on the back of the homemade wrecker shown (Frame without cab) in my last batch of pictures. that truck was a 64 3/4 ton with a intergrated head 250 one bbl carb engine. 390 rear gears and granny four speed. It had a happy place running at 68 MPH and got very good fuel economy. the engine & cab are now on a 3/4 four wheel drive. I need to finish putting it back together.

I have to say.....for folks like me that don't live "on the dry side" of the big mountains.....it is wonderful to see trucks out in the field that are in such happy condition.
That stuff would slowly (or quickly) return to the earth around here.

I went to look at a 61 GMC in Seminole OK when I passed this house with what looked like a few cars behind it…..I stopped and the guy took me all around and had a story for almost every one there. It took me an hour to excuse myself. Nice fella. 81 years young. He told me that just about all of them were for sale if not sold already. Price…..$1250 each. No parts just whole vehicles.
