these arent as interesting without pics but I have made some more progress. My pedal conversion is done, I am working on final fittment of the radiator and I am finishing the brakes. I am waiting for my booster and prop valve so I can mount it to the firewall and run the final lines. I got the booster and bracket from ECE that is supposed to bring the booster closer to the firewall and it sits a little lower. I also started to install my gas filler neck in the bed floor. When my parts arrive I am also going to put together my 71-72 grill. Im excited about that! I am taking some more parts to the powder coater next week and I am going to get some more pics when Im at my Dads shop next. Still on track for my start up date of Jan 2011! I threw a pic of my gauges and panel after I painted it, just a teaser I guess...

By the way I met 2 board members in the last 2 weeks. Rene (C10/King) and Jorge Lopez from Turlock, Ca (dont remember his screen name). Both were really nice guys and it was a pleasure meeting both of them. I hope to make it to Rene's for the valley meet.

:agree:

Rene and Jorge (sleepertruck72) are definately among this board's finest. Rene heard I was looking for a rear window trim and PM'd me and gave it to me free. Jorge delivered some wheel tubs for me, saving me shipping and/or a two hour drive. They don't get any better than these two guys.

I'm looking forward to the A****er gathering, too.

Hey, if anyone that's going to be there needs any stock air conditioning stuff- minus the register (dash)- it's yours. I'll bring it. I just pulled it out of the '71 donor cab that's off to the squisher due to rust disease.

And, if anyone coming has a passenger side inner fender that will fit the '68 cab/'71 frame combo, I'd love to get it from you on the 2nd.

Can't wait to meet a bunch of you folks.

I love getting these boxes from UPS! After seeing all the bad ass trucks at the C/10 gathering yesterday I had to put my grill together so I could use it as garage wall art and inspiration!

some progress is good progress I guess. installed some more parts for mock up. The booster from ECE is a cool piece. The wire looms I waited over a month for and I finally finished my radiator installed minus a few minor adjustments to come later. The gas filler cap is a work in progress.

I should have some updates this week. I am off all week due to work furlough so I plan on using all week to catch up on the truck. My fenders are with a body guy right now getting straightened out, and I hope to have them back this week. Not sure if I'll get any painting done this week. I got my vintage air unit and some more parts to mock up. As soon as my fenders are done I am going to take him my bed to straighten out. Its slow progress but its progress. Ill have some pics of stuff by next weekend.

as long as you make sure its turned a certain way when you start welding everything up its fine. Pretty tight clearance but I could still get a wrench in there to tighten it up. They are the Sanderson's from early classic
