Re: Project Picacho
Wow your brakes look way better than mine, guess I shouldn't have been so cheap by just painting mine black, should have gotten them powdercoated too.

Great looking truck!
I've circled 2 of my favorite shop tools, that I noticed in your picture. I love the DeWalt 18v flashlight,... and that stuff in the blue can. Looking forward to more pics. |

I bought rims through HID Solutions - he is the one who had the group buy going on this forum. I didn't go with the group buy - just bout through his website - It took about a month to receive them, but I knew i wasn't in a crazy hurry to get them. Good luck. You going to have your druck done for Nov?:metal: |

Re: Project Picacho
Well it looks like a few board members are going up to the "Pavillions" next weekend so I will try and get Picacho up and running to roll up, unless 3 kids on Spring Break thinks otherwise:lol::lol:
What's left to get on the road - for now: I ripped a rear break dust seal - so I have a new one coming in, once in I will replace. Tie in rear brake line to axle line - I need a 23" 3/8 steel braided. (any body have any recommendations - company, brand they like?) Bleed brakes X4 Bump stops for rear - probably just 1" er's ebrake cables - the one that came with my kit are about 10" to short!!! Change oil filter over to modern screw on type Alignment Rear wheel spacers - since the offset is so much on the Boss 338 - I am going to add an 1" on each side. As is I have 1/2" of room till tires are hitting inner rear fenders - too close!!! (anybody have a recommended company?) Install new steering wheel Put bed back on I think that is it! Maybe if I get a good day in next week and can knock most of it out - I will keep ya posted - Ronnie |
