Finally got off my duff and got the exhaust routed...well except for where the exit winds up. I don't really want it to point down since it blows dust everywhere, but i only have a like a 70 degree bend left to work with. Seems like the kind of thing to figure out when box is back on. Anyways, I plan to pull the pipes off tomorrow to finish welding 'em up, then hang it proper. Here's some pics of where I left it at before the lights went out and the door came down(they turned out a little dark, I'll get some better ones):

Going to try going without a muffler, but will put one or two in if its too loud.

Thanks man! I think the blue is a factory honda colour, but that's all I really remember about it.

Well, the exhaust is all welded together and the downpipes are wrapped up.

As much as I like to sip on a stiff drink and just stare at the truck, thinking about what I want to do to it, the commissar of the shop doesn't seem to have similar interests. In light of that, I've just been focusing on trying to get this thing to a drivable state again and I'll just pick away at the details later on. Anyways, I tried to make a solo attempt at bleeding the brakes which resulted in some pedal, but I'll have to make another attempt I guess. To save a little time I decided to shelf my camaro console plan so I just hooked up the column shift linkage again. Engine-wise, it's all wired up and basically ready to start. Here's some pics:

I made up this plywood backed, aluminum skinned piece to mount the msd, wideband etc. in the passenger side footwell area.

Well, I put the carb back together and got the most of the engine wiring figured out. I found this scoop in a storage locker, wonder how much cutting and welding it would take to make it work with boost..
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...68/null-31.jpg

Anyways, the plan was to mount a fuel cell in the back, I just didn't know what to get. Then I remembered 8 or 9 years ago I did get one when a guy redid his car. Well after 20 minutes of searching I found it and sure enough it was just the size I needed. Would've been nice if it had a sump, but good enough for me since it was free. Here's the dirty ol' tank:
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...68/null-33.jpg

Spent a few hours, made up some brackets, and now it's installed:

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...68/null-27.jpg

Tried to get it as far back as possible so I had room to run the exhaust I want to run...should be enough I think:

I have to ask. Did you get your ideas from.

I didn't, believe it or not. Looks pretty close, but it's pretty obvious what needs to be done when you put that size tank between the frame rails. Here's a closer pic of the crossbar to support the front that I came up with, but either way should do the job.

Here's what I have my man:

I took the rad support apart as far as it would go and sprayed it with some epoxy primer and a touch of clear added so it wouldn't dry so dull. Got er put back together, rad mounted and intercooler back in place. Couple pics:

Awesome work! I was going to say I bet it won't be too loud. Turbos act like a muffler. So when you get pulled over and the officer wants to see your muffler, pop the hood and show him. In the first edelbrock pic, was that a HT60 sitting there? Boy, that thing sure sounds sweet. After seeing you do this, I may have to try to put one or two HX35's on my 354. Just because it looks cool, and sounds sweet. Keep at it! Oh yeah, don't be too hard on your self, the paint looks awesome!

Right arm, thanks man! In the pic is an h2e that I bought from the same guy I got the hx35 from...can never have enough turbos i figure. An early hemi mounted with twins would be just about the coolest thing going...question is what would you put it in?

I have a chintzy one you can see in a few pics, but I think I'll take it off and just make a plate to cover the hole.

Just cause I hate to make a post without a pic, here's one of where the front is sitting so far...thinking i might have to take the grinder to the coil, but I hold off till it's all together:

Re: Parked Indefinite

Today's plan was to get the door jambs and inner doors painted, and to achieve that goal I needed to get the ol' shop up to temp. As the old man and his girlfriend make their seemingly never ending effort to update the old rancher, it was decided that this old piece of furniture no longer had a place and was cast out. Now, I don't know if I mentioned it anywhere, but I work at an auction house and have had my fill of furniture, especially antiques. So with my need for heat and this vintage waterfall style 4 drawer dresser in my sights, it was clear what needed to be done. Felt great. And let me just say this dresser burnt hot...within an hour the shop was warm and getting within 10ft of the cornerstone airtight was tough. Anyways, got the task done so here's some pics that chronicle the latter part of my Sunday:

I'm putting the 354 in my 40 Ford. IDK if I'll do the turbos yet or not. The engine is all stock. I'd hate to blow the HG's right out of the gate. I guess I could just gate the chargers way down and have the turbos just for looks.
