We had a 69 GMC short bed 2wd stepside, in Hugger Orange. When the chief saw that truck he liked it so well that they ordered a similar truck (only 4wd, and long wheel base stepper) as their brush fire truck.

I wish I could find that one (or our 69, for that matter).

These two are local to me; either one could perhaps be the truck I am talking about.

Sweet truck. Awesome that you have all the factory paperwork with the truck.

That is one of the most gorgeous trucks I have ever seen.

This was for sale a couple years ago in Oregon. Still kick myself for not buying it. I even called the owner months later to see if it sold. Guess it was bought and its somewhere in Michigan.

Would love some specs on this one. I'm starting to think about a LS swap...or at a minimum punting the th350 trans for something with 4 or 5 gears and an overdrive.

What's the engine and trans combo and are you still using the np205 with the set-up??

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. Life got in the way.
I am using a 6.0L and a 4L80E. The engine and trans are stock and use a stock 411 computer that has been slightly modified. I modified the harness myself.

Drove it from New Orleans to Nashville for the Southeastern Truck Nationals. 1237 mile round trip. We found a little dirt road on the way home so we pulled off and got the tires dirty. At this point my 4 year old said "Regular trucks can only go on the concrete, but Monster trucks can go on the concrete and ANYWHERE"
