Re: Die-cast 67-72

The guy that did the original 5 rattle canned them and they looked good in the picture. However once I received them they didn't look as good as I hoped. Matter of fact they had Orange peel! I have been looking for someone else to do them, but so far everyone wants $50.00 plus eash panel to do them. I have a customer here local that has some Camaro parts here to pick up that does custom Hotwheels. I am going to check with him and see what he says. I have 20 panels here to do...lol WES

Re: Die-cast 67-72

I don't intentionaly bid against anyone Luke. :( I find all of the auctions either on Google, or using the ebay search engines. Usualy right after they are listed. I then enter the auctions into my power snipe and place my highest bid there, then forget about them untill I get notification of wether or not I won the auction or was outbid. I use power snipe for 2 reasons. I use it because I do not have to worry about when any particular auction ends to enter my bid, and the other is by not entering a bid during the duration of the auction, I am not drawing attention to it. If someone bids higher than what my maximum bid is in power snipe, I will loose the auction just like anyone else would with a lower bid. There are also in the 10s of thousands of members here and although not all of them are ebay members here, many of them are. There is no way that I can know if any one particular member is bidding on an item, because I do not know their ebay name. Even if I knew them, like I said I don't watch auctions, because it tends to make me willing to pay more for something while getting caught up in the frensy. I have been beeten many times by board members here also. It doesn't bother me either, because they were willing to pay more for the item than me.
I can appriciate the brotherhood we all feel here and nobody wants to make anyone pay more than they have to, to buy any particular item, but if I had to wory about wether a board member was bidding on an item, I wouldn't bid on anything. I hope you understand, because I have a lot of respect for you and I hope you do the same for me. I just wouldn't want to jepourdise that. WES

Re: Die-cast 67-72

By the way thank you Andy4639. Better luck next time. WES

Also if anyone is looking for some of this hard to find die cast and stuff that isn't out any more. Check the link in my signature for the die cast that I sell. I am cheaper than a lot of the auctions when you are bidding against somone else and I have multipuls of everything that I list. You save on gass also, not having to run around to all of the stores hoping to find some. (I have done that already... LOL) You save shipping, because it all comes from one place at the same time.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

WES,
Have you got pictures of what you have. I'm looking for things I don't already have like the green version of the red one I got yesterday. I also would like a set of the ones you won for a second set to open. I don't normally open ones I only have one of. I'll even buy open ones as long as they have all the decals left on them.
Oh no problem on the auction, it's just the way it goes, sometimes you win sometimes you don't!

;)

I like to find things on ebay as much as the next guy. Especially if it's something you just never see anywhere else or if you can get it cheap. But I really, REALLY like it when I come across something in the stores that I've been searching for.

That's just the way eBay goes.

There was one truck that ended recently where Wes out bid some guy who outbid Andy who outbid RicksTrucks who out bid me. Rick offered to back out, but I had already bid as much as I was going to.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

With regards to the 20tis. Last month Wal-mart had discounted a the entire line so I figured I would not see them anymore. I ended up buying a couple from Jay_Shy here on the board. That same night I found 4 of the red trucks at my Wal-Mart on the pegs at regular price. Does anyone know about the white/black/green ones? Are they fairly new, so that I am likely to run across some on the pegs or are they old, so that I am likely not to find them any place but eBay?

The local Walmart just restock the 20RIS ones here, so who knows if they are gone or not.

I got two more Red 20tis this weekend and there was a bunch of new models like a nice 65 Impala, and a real nice GTO, they were using the same colors as the green 67 so who knows maybe they'll be coming to a Wally near you.
