Re: RideTech's New C10 CoilOver Kits

I have the level 2 on my 67. Total night and day difference. It rides and handles great. My question is has anyone successfully put a rack and pinion with this setup? My only concern would be clearance with the sway bar and possibly ground clearance?

I would like to know this too

the sway bar interferes with the rack (or vice versa) Is there longer end links available or any suggestions as to the best way to safely lengthen the end links.
The links do come apart and it looks they are held together by a m12 -1.75 threaded rod. I'm not sure a longer threaded rod is the strongest / safest method. I need about another 2.5"

Did you come up with a solution? I have the same problem.

Re: RideTech's New C10 CoilOver Kits

Not yet, the project has stalled / moving very slowly. I want to get all the sheet metal on the front end and get the ride height set so I can see where everything is going to sit.

I'm thinking my solution will be a tube spacer with a threaded rod.

Re: RideTech's New C10 CoilOver Kits

You guys might need to try adding mounting tabs to the upper a-arms & run the sway-bar links to them to eliminate the R&P interference.

Re: RideTech's New C10 CoilOver Kits

We have not used a Rack and Pinion setup on any of our C-10 trucks in-house. I do have different lengths and styles of end links as well as some weld-on end link tabs. You could possibly relocate the end link.

I added a coupler nut and a piece treaded rod to give me some clearance. Still needs to be road tested to confirm that there is enough clearance. Not sure why this site decided to turn my picture sideways.

Does anyone know what the suggested backspace would be for the fronts using this set up? I'd like to put a 8 or 9" wheel in there.

Pics getting flipped is usually from a cell phone setting....

That's a really good idea. Looks like it turned out nicely!

Can everyone put in this thread what wheel and tire combo they are running with the completed coil over setup? Year of truck and if rear end has been modified? Backspacing of the rims would be nice also!!!!

Thanks!! Any rubbing issues?

18x11 front with 5" backspace- 315/30/18 tires
18x11 rear with 4.5" backspace-315/30/18 tires
Rear is narrowed but I forget how much

No rubbing but I'm not using the Ridetech sway bar. It's a splined Nascar bar with the Ridetech mounting tabs cut off the arms.

I'm running 20 by 8.5 front and 20 by 10 rear. Have the slightest rub at full lock. I have a 255 35 in the front

I love both of these trucks!

It is great to see so many C10 owners are now finding out just how amazing Ridetech Suspension truly is! We have been selling it for years now, primarily in the muscle CAR market and have helped bring it over to the 67-72 forum here! We sell a lot here now, one at a time, we are helping you guys achieve a gorgeous stance and an incredible ride, two things that were almost nonexistent in this market not long ago! Coilover, Air or StreetGrip, one of them is guaranteed to float your boat!

We are here to take care of your Ridetech needs!
MCB

Bought my kit for Matt everything went smooth!

Anyone else running 20's front and rear with this kit? If so what size tire rim and back spacing?

Thanks

5" backspace and my tires will rub the front sway bar at close to full lock.

Do you have the full Ridetech front system, with their sway bar?

Matt

Thanks again for the business, we truly appreciate it!

When it comes to wheels, actually measuring once it's all in is the best way. We have the tool that we loan out free of cost when you are buying wheels from us. It's a $450 tool that grips the tire and bolts to the rotor face, just as a wheel would.

With the ride height chosen, you can then turn the wheels with the suspension at ride height (remove coilover's). This is not a difficult or very time consuming job and it will ensure your wheels fit properly.

Matt

I have clearance issues with the rear shock bridge and a wood floor. It clears with a metal floor. I wasn't expecting that. A couple hours and I fixed the issue but was disappointed I needed to do that.

I had the same issue. What did you exactly do to fix it?

I cut 5/8" out of the bridge by the mounting pads and rewelded them up.
I am not sure how a detail like this could have got missed by Ridetech.
