For the axle flips for lowering and ride quality I've seen some comments where people say use a bolt in rather than a weld in.
Personally seems like we weld so much on altering these trucks that it shouldn't be an issue ..... but makes me wonder why the bolt in kits etc ?

Is it that our frames are not tempered steel ?

Never quite understood it exactly --- I know when I owned my diesel guys on that forum would freak out if you mentioned welding on frame.

Body is off getting sand blasted. Should be done this weekend weather pending we had some tornadoes in our area this past weekend so kinda put a damper on things. Gonna ha e my spot at the metal work shop on the next month or so. So possibly going to have the motor and trans built on the mean time.

Yeah I'm taking the rear end to get built and hopefully the motor and trans all within the next week

Nice, did you blast that yourself? if so how long did that take and would you do it again without an enclosure?

No I didn't blast it myself I had a buddy of mine get it done for me. Got it home this past Saturday and applied Gem rust killer in the entire body. Hopefully it's off to metal work soon. Trying to get a friend of mine lined out for a place he can do the work. Whole new roof panel, ls fab firewall, toe boards, and kick panels, whole new front and rear floor, rockets and cab corners, and new lower door skins.

whats up guys well got a few things buttoned up on the chassis finally got my metalwork/body work and paint all lined out and it should be going to the shop within the next 2 weeks. already got the trans built for 600 hp with a 3200 stall so its ready to go. the block that i had was no good was already bore 60 over and im building a 383 so it wouldn't have worked already have another block at the machine shop and it should be getting close to being done. still pushing to have the truck done for my car show in November

hey guys whats up ive got some updates the truck is getting dropped off for metal work and paint and body Saturday and finally get to clean my garage out of the 7,000 dollars in replacement panels i have for the truck. my motor guy called and said the crank pulley is at the balancing shop and assembly should start next week. looks like its all starting to come together

long process. nice to get it outta the shop sometimes. Cleaning up is a good feeling!

99 thats for sure man when it comes back all it will need is wiring plumbing and interior im very excited

can anyone help me with a tilt steering column, steering shaft/ knuckles needed , and a frame mounted hydro boost set up part numbers thanks in advance
