Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
to hell with it, put the skinny pedal on the floor and dump that clutch!! Would make pretty tire smoke!
|
Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
not ALL the time ;)
those tires would get expensive!! |
Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
started taking the back of the cab down to metal and got the door frames all cleaned up and ready for primer. The exterior will be entirely primed by wed! I also need to get my transmission ready to go back in with the engine once the firewall has some paint on it. :D
|
Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Alright I was gone over all of spring break last week so I couldn't get anything done...BUT...if everything goes accordingly, the entire cab should be primed tomorrow :D

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
yesterday at 11:52 am??? I was in study hall! haha
anyways, I got the majority of the inner cab in black epoxy primer tonight....still some to finish up before I hit everything with the high build, which I'll also try to do tomorrow. Then wetsand the firewall and see if anything else needs to be fixed before I can spray red and get the eng/trans back in!!! :metal: ....its getting exciting. |

Thanks guys!! I got my transmission all cleaned up yesterday. I think I'll replace the bearings and seals before I paint it. I'll start wetsanding the firewall in a little bit to get it ready for some red!!

Today I sanded the firewall, filled in some low spots, and sprayed it again. It should be smooooth. I'll wetsand tomorrow and see if anything else needs to be done before it's ready. I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow! |

Here's what the transmission looks like now. I should've gotten a before pic of the other side because it was MUCH worse. I'll paint it after the firewall's done.
Also, here are some of the firewall that I just wetsanded. After sanding more when I got home from school, I realized I wanted to fix some places so I redid a few and hopefully I'll spray the sealer tomorrow and maybe even red...we'll see!! :metal: |
Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Do yall think I need to wait a while before I spray sealer because of the wetsanding? I'm not sure if the high build would slightly absorb water and would need any time.

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
