I love it. Note below where it says the red vinyl is only available with red, white, or gray exteriors. I've seen LOTS of trucks, only a few red seats.

In '66 , Chevy standardized on medium fawn color custom cab seats on all custom cab pickups, red color custom cab seats were no longer available.

This is a cool thread. Im really diggin' the skinny tires. I been looking at alot of the original brochures and stuff. For me, bigger(wider) tires look a little weird. wagonslayer's pic of the 64 looks cool with the hubcaps and skinny tires.

It may not be a factory pic, but it is a pic of my Dad circa 66-68 working for Hi-Way Electric out of Joliet, Illinois... I remember getting a ride in this truck on occasion. Enjoy!

If you look at the stepside in front of the suburban on the top rear, it has no backup lights on the rear fenders which became std equipment in 1966. So I think these are either 64's or 65's.

Can anyone narrow it further?

1965. The fifth vehicle on top of snow covered mountain scene is a maroon suburban. "Maroon" was a standard color on 65's, not standard on '64's and '66's.Another train photo below, first vehicle on botton is "Fawn"( maybe my '65 C 20?-click on avatar), a standard 1965 color, not used on 64's and 66's. The emblems showing on the red trucks verify they are 65's.

Greg.

Who needs a skidder if you have a chevy truck ?? (wonder why they didnt try it with the ford?? ) on a side note , I know for a fact that ford used to lease vehicles from chevy and vice versa , they used to tear them apart and study noise vibration and etc. then put them back together and return them after a period of time...
