So for the door panels I wanted to get that "cockpit" feel to the interior. I first started with the shape I used from the flat section on the dash so it would flow..

Here is a shot of the transition from the panel to the dash. Using round bar,I welded them together then will cut it to make my gap so when you close the door it will match up..

Pic #1 is the backside of panel. what you are looking at is a "cap" for the front of the panel this will finish off the front of it at the door for a completed look.
Pic #2 the front side welded and metal finished

Just read whole thread, great work and great imagination. I'll be following closely. The round bar work kinda reminded me of the black widow bike Orange County choppers done!

This truck was very fortunate that you found it. You hooked me on your patch making, and then your steering wheel sealed the deal. This is added to my list of builds to watch.

Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D

Thanks so much for checking out the build! yeah I hijacked the idea a long time ago haha..

I think lots of people are following this. Not all of us post but I will say you have more talent, skill and imagination in your finger tip than I have in my whole body. Your explinations make it easy to read and follow. Keep up the great work!
