I am interested in anyones opinion on the stance. I know the front end is not on it yet but the bed is pretty close. The front is about 1/2 inch low but all in all the bed is setting where it will be on the frame.

It is looking really good and it is great to see it moving under its own power. From what I can see, I like the stance that it has now. You are doing great with getting it all together. Keep it up and thanks for the updates.

That is great to see if move under its own power like that. This is an awesome build!

I think the stance looks fine. I am a 4wd kind of guy though, so my opinion probably doesn't count much. LOL

Unrelated question for you if you don't mind. How do you get the YouTube videos to show up in your posts like that? Thanks!

That's what I did, and I just got a blue link. That was the first time I have uploaded a video to YouTube, so maybe didn't do something right. Seems to be working though. Thanks!!

It seems that all you will get in the box you are typing in but when you upload it the system will identify it and show the youtube window in the post..

I am still new to the site, but the 64,65,66 chevy truck has always been a favorite of mine. I just found your build today and I will continue to follow it I have done a few frame off restos and mods on the old trucks but no longer have one and this build makes me want to find another one and get started.
Great job keep it up...Norm...

I cut up a great set of inner fenders to fit the frame. Then got the fenders bolted into place.. Well with a handful of bolts. Ran the wiring back through everything.

and after running a few more wires I was able to get the front clip and backed it out in order to get some shots of it. So here you go..

Digging the flag inspired paint job ;). Look more and more like a 64 than a 94

Hacked up the bed of a doner truck to get some parts to fix the bed where a the previous owner had mutilated one side putting in cadallac tail lights. I have to get a few more parts but then off to the south salvage yards... Oh and put rat poison out because it houses the biggest fattest rat I have ever seen. It is the size of a squirrel.. I have to get inside and get the late 60's low back buckets out of it because they have got to be worth something. I am not telling my step-son that he was sitting in the cab with the big thing when we loaded it on the trailer... :)

Look, not trying to be a turd or negative, just asking...
looking at the door and cab line and following it back along the bed, it looks like the bed is high in the back and the bed is too close to the cab.
Is that just the photo??

Great eye, no it is not the picture. When I built the cross members for the bed I intentionally left them low so I could build up to the point I needed instead of down. The bed is just sitting in place in order to get an idea of the wheel base and centering in the wheel well. The front end is only on with a few bolts in order ensure it all centers up also. I am still not done with the inner fenders so it all has to come apart a few more times. i have to find a place for all the wires and clear the suspension a little more then add some finish work to not look like someone took a cut off wheel to them!!!

I am really hung up on the stance. I want it to be more level and maybe a little lower. So I am trying to get as much weight on it as I can so I know how it is going to set.

My bed also needs quite a bit of work an dI have to figure out how to run the gas filler through the role pan or do away with the role pan and go with a bumper like I originally planned. But the role pan is kinda growing on me.

Have you seen this guys build? He has some pretty good ideas going on.

He has some filler neck ideas a little past the middle of the thread..

Worked on filling the factory gas neck hole and also the new gas fill location in the role pan. No pics yet but hopefully will have some by the end of the week.

Painted the firewall under the inner fenders. Started prepping the door jams, firewall and dash for paint.. Ordered the paint and prep stuff today, planning to shoot it all on Sunday if everything works out...

Tried to shoot some paint on Sunday and it was a disaster. Either airborn particles or the wrong hardener.... sanded off what I tried and will try again later. Buddy of mine has offered his paint booth so I might take him up on it..

Halfway done with the Scott's Big Back Window kit... Got the inside cut out and hope to finish it tomorrow...

Caprick-up looks great, best Hybrid I have seen that I would drive....If the fuel fill in the back won't work caprice wagons were the same style tank filled from the left. 1st page I thought only thing missing on this build was the big back window in the cab... BAM....you got that 2...Nice work...Ed.
