Hi guys, 9 mos later and we finally get her back. Still have to do the interior and a rear end swap, but the body is finally complete. Annnd shes comming home. It was my dads truck, bought brand new. I lost him in 2004 but I do know hes grinning from ear to ear watching my son and I fix this baby up.

Yeah, the local college cops, followed us in on our test drive.. all was well. the rims are Eagle 20s, Ill have to look at tires tomorow to see size, 245/50s I think. LMC side markers, 69s I think they were, clear. and thank you all, My son and I are excited beyond compare..oh and we decided to leave all the body badges off except in the grill. I have them all shiney and new but not on truck. Garage wall I suppose,,, or... living room??

Thanks guys, My son will get this one one day. My Dad would be very happy with what we have done. He saw it in a lot of different configurations over the years but this by far is the best. Oh hed be screaming at me about all the money I have "wasted" but he would truely love it. I thank you all for sharing in my excitement and joy.

Very nice, liking the color. Looks like my 68 Chevelle. (2002 chevy storm metallic grey) my son loves that hood looks like it fits ok.

A very nice truck and a very good son you are to your dad keeping his truck and making it a lovely truck. Your family I am sure appreciates what you have done with it:)
To me , its a perfect truck, not over the top but an everyday mans dream truck.

Congrats! I'm sure your dad is doing a little dance after seeing that thing. You did your dad proud, truck looks AWESOME!. I hope the truck gives you and your son many cool days together cruising it around.

I thank you all again, yes my son does love is as much as I. He and his paw paw were very tight.Hes getting married in sept and he asked me if he could drive the Chevy as they leave the church.. I said yes of course but no body touches it but you. The next day he told me everyone has been warned. He said its like paw paw is with us. woops eyes leaking.. well hey, its got a blower on it too.. real manly stuff.. yep.

Thanks again, It was painted at Edwards Body shop in Rock Hill sc. They are awesome there, great guys and can lay down some paint..

thanks guys, it was painted at Edwards Body shop in ROCK hILL SC, tHEY ARE REALLY NICE GUY AND DO FANTASTIC WORK. They let us go down and do work on the truck in their shop. I cant say anything bad about them at all.

I did, I did, still tingly. Its a fun pretty beast to drive. Even got my led tail lights issue fixed. Its a fine life.. Thanks to all.
