So all these are die-cast right? I like the plastic kits that you have to build and paint yourself. Haven't been able to locate any of these trucks though.

HOTROD71- its about 50-50 from what i can see. they make these trucks in a LONG BED style in the model world but i dont like long beds that much so i modified mine. :metal: wish the camera took clearer shots close up cause this truck has rust holes, dents and all. and even though you cant see them very well those are real scale SUPER SWAMPER TIRES :bling2:
bisquick - there is another thread already out there about this same thing but i cant find it. it had all my pics on that one. and alot of other good pics.

It started out as a stock longbed AMT kit. After it sitting on my desk for a few months I got the crazy idea to do a Longhorn. I used a spare bed and frame to stretch it 1/2 of an inch which is right at 6 inches in 1/25th scale...

The only way you can find a 67-68 or a step side is on Ebay. AMT has a 72 long fleet out right now and in another month or two they will be offering a 72 Blazer...

You can order up some whitewalls for about any scale you want. Heck you can get actual BILLET wheels for em.

Re: Post your truck model pics here.

I can't remember where the cowl piece came from but it was off of a model I had years ago and I just happen to have it in a box of spare parts. I believe it came off of a chavelle drag car os something. I am also in the market for a blazer and 68 truck. I would also like to find an early 70s model truck. The copper model was the blue and white amt model but I made it a short bed. It still needs work like wiring the motor and some other things.
