How 'bout some pics of my favorite color on these trucks, Saddle (at least I think that's the name). Does anyone have more pics of this one, for instance? Lets see the nice, saddle trucks in stock configuration. Are there any?

My Goldilocks project is this color, and was offered in '66 only. Danbury Mint had a 1:24 scale model out last year in the same color.

I know you like em stock. Other than lacking a set of tall and skinny tires, this is about as pure as they come. 22,000 miles, unrestored, with factory A/C. Pass the drool cup please.

I've always thought this color is one of the best for these trucks.

In a perfect world...I'd be sitting in the driver's seat of that with a smile from ear to ear and my arm out the window soaking up the sunshine.

And a bed full of tall/skinny repro vintage tires, on my way to a tire shop! That thing is awesome!! Is that yours, oem4me? Seems like something you'd own!

It's different. There's a good bit of difference from the door jambs to the interior panels on my Saddle Poly '66. Saddle Poly has more brown in it than the Fawn Poly interior color.

Does anyone recognize the truck in my original post? I'd really like to find some more pics of it. Want to see it from the side. Very sharp.

We've got a slick one in the shop for a windshield and back glass today. LS1, tubular control arms, big disc brakes, and everything super detailed. I'll have more pics of it once it's finished and he takes it out next show season.

Is this truck fawn or saddle? It looks to be a '65 and saddle was only offered in 1966.

Ok, one more question. I'm trying to decide between the two colors. Is this truck and suburban fawn or saddle?

I think it looks good and ads a touch of class. Thanks, Tim

It's gone already, owner picked it up earlier today. I'll see it again and post here next time I get a chance to snap pics. I like the earlier trim as well.

That looks very close (atleast on my moniter) to the original Saddle Poly color. Most of the repainted trucks are lighter than the original color. There are sections of the cowl and one of the wheels on my truck that are original paint and it's darker than most repaints.

This one matches my original paint as close as I've seen.

The color of our 1966 4x4 K20 is technically Saddle and Off white. I'm posting a copy of the original window sticker that shows the color. The color is gold in my eyes. This is the original day one factory paint. There was also a Fawn color for these trucks. Jon

now that I look at it closer, I think you might be right...the one Greg was asking about definitely looks very similar to 60-66's K20...I was thinking these lighter colors were saddle, but they're definitely not. The lighting in the pics can make it very difficult to determine colors as well!

in the first pic it looks pretty close, but the second looks totally different (lighter)...just goes to show how much the lighting can throw things off

The color is turquoise and yes it is a factory color. I believe it was used from 1958 to 1966.
