Cruisin the Coast 2012
Who is planning to attend Cruisin' the Coast in Biloxi, MS 7-14 October? I just made my reservations for the 12-13, hope to meet a bunch of board members!

Re: Cruisin the Coast 2012
We'll be there the 11th through the 14th. We usually camp on a vacant lot, on Hwy 90 in Biloxi. Which reminds me, I need to call the property owner and make my reservations.

Re: Cruisin the Coast 2012
That is so cool! My wife is done with the camping scene so we will be staying in a hotel.
This will be my first time bringing a vehicle, so I am pretty stoked. :metal: |
Re: Cruisin the Coast 2012
Well, my truck is not running yet, mostly due to lack of focus, but I am doing my best. Hope to see/meet a slew of board members there! :metal:

Re: Cruisin the Coast 2012
So, is there an area where the forum crowd hangs out? Any tips or tricks to know? I am only going to be there Friday, Saturday and home on Sunday morning, so I want to make the best of it!

Re: Cruisin the Coast 2012
If nothing happens family wise I plan on being there Thursday-Sunday morning...

This year is "Sweet 16",Crusin" The Coast's 16th year.
I've been to it every year. Will be there this year driving my 68 anniversary or my 65 Caprice. If you see me,wave or blow your horn!I've never seen another of either of these at CTC! http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images...rpics174.jpg/]http://imageshack.us/a/img687/5108/mikecarpics174.jpg[/URL] http://imageshack.us/a/img16/6669/mikecarpics165.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us Mike.:chevy:/:gmc2: |

Re: Cruisin the Coast 2012
At one time,we would gang-up at Edgewater Mall.
But,not anymore, because the mall parking lot is always full!(you'd have to get there very early to park) The beach side parking areas are good places too. Still a 9:00 p.m. curfew, which I think should be extended to mid-night. I'd love to see a place set-up for internet clubs/sites to gather.I think it would need to be a pretty big area! I live here and have some property, but 30 miles from the event.Too far for easy access to the event. Mike.:chevy: |
Re: Cruisin the Coast 2012
I'll be there all week with a few other members and their trucks. I'll keep an eye on this thread for a time and place, and hopefully we can get together somewhere.

Re: Cruisin the Coast 2012
My father-in-law attends the event every year. He is from the area, had a pic posted on his FB page of a volunteer crowd putting stuff together for the event. Told him to get me a bunch of pictures, maybe he will get some pics of some of your all's rides. Have fun!

Re: Cruisin the Coast 2012
Have you all herd of Gulf Coast Motorsports Magazine? They are on Facebook or go to gulfcoastmotorsports.com. Lots of info there. Buddy of mine joined the club ($15) so he could park at their lot. Neat Magazine that you can read online for free.
We were planning on going this year, but the 1960 El Camino clone will not be done until early November. My 70 C-10 with 3 speed and 373 gears would be SCREAMING the whole way from Shreveport Louisiana with those gears. |
Re: Cruisin the Coast 2012
You've got to check out Ocean Springs. Try to get there early so you can get a good spot. Bay St. Louis is always a cool place. Live music and always tons of nice rides. Well heck everywhere is pretty much awesome. If I keep talking I'm just going to load up and head down tonight.

Re: Cruisin the Coast 2012
How many people plan on driving or pulling their trucks ? And for far is the distance ? I'm thinking on driving verses pulling . I'm about three hours away .

Re: Cruisin the Coast 2012
Well, I would say if I make a future trip. I would be pulling from Kansas. Got family down there in Biloxi, so the stay would be free. Plus my father-in-law is involved with the event, got a free tour guide...lol But if I lived that close, I would be driving. Building it to enjoy it, why not drive it. You all have fun out there, hope to see you all in the future.
