49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
against my wife's direction and better judgement I have started a new project.
“Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.” ― Winston Churchill so at least I am enthusiastic! My wife sees another rusty shatbox holding down the concrete in our driveway, as if it would float away if that space was left unweighted. I actually started this last year as I thought I was winding down my 65 s10 swap, not your typical s10 swap, kept the s10 firewall floors and drivetrain, a 2.2L 5 speed. Drove it a few times between friends promises, and everyone who said it was a waste of time was wrong, it accelerated like a normal truck and got decent mileage on the highway, in the 20s. http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...psosp4xvy1.jpg Anyway, thats gone, and in March of last year I picked up a 1999 S10 longbed 4.3 auto SLS (tilt and cruise!) with a wandery front end and 4 bald tires, two of which held air! had the stock wheels off the 98 so popped em on http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...psn7hmeyew.jpg and rebuilt the terribly unsafe front end (upper control arm bushings were faint memories, explains the st bernard head shake under braking) with all brand new suspension and steering parts even upgraded to blazer sealed bearing spindles and dual piston caliper brakes while I was in there http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...psob2lgdq4.jpg http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...psbef54wli.jpg now it drives stops and turns like a new truck. Used it a year looking for the right 48-52 Ford or 47-55 Chevy. Found one saturday a 49 (very important for titling) 3600 flat bed, came with 8 boxes of original spares, but sadly no bed and no glass. Spiders and bullet holes included free though. I made a low offer because it had a 65 tag on it, and to my surprise he said "have at it!". http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...f90421f4c0.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m.../IMG_7883.jpeg the front springs were broken at the rear shackles so I opted for the adult option instead of the 20 yr old lets-crawl-around-in-dirt-and-push-this-on-a-borrowed-trailer-for-6-hours. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m.../IMG_8158.jpeg now its home, I have to clean it out and get a couple tetanus boosters http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m.../IMG_8117.jpeg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m.../IMG_4877.jpeg got a couple of these, plus the one in the cab, http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m.../IMG_3177.jpeg a couple diverter valves in the boxes, newish OEM bumpers, a refinished oem painted grille, and just loads of extra stuff, gauges, weatherstripping, etc. scored a set of patina matching running boards today too, no more shortys. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...MG_1325-2.jpeg I've been killing myself at work, I am an engineer, and there has been a lot of churn the last year. I plan to take a vacation in the next 60 days and will keep looking for a bed and some glass, which is all I really need. New door glass is like 70 bucks from LMC, I have all the frames even though the glass is broken. hoepful that my daughter and I can hit this hard, a tremendous whack I keep an over/under spreadsheet on these trucks, I have for a long time and a lot of trucks, helps to keep track of exactly what the project costs. So far I have 2800 invested, but that will decrease as I sell the 8 boxes of stuff and the body parts/interior of the longbed. I have some protouring billet 22" wheels from the 65 project that I will never sell for what I have to have for them, so they may end up on here too. |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
got a bed today, guy had a 1948 with s10 suspension on cl and I saw a bunch of stuff in the background
so I took a chance he would have a bed. He did! http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...psykyq9tux.jpg http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps0ch6nvsn.jpg http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...pskuhoaosr.jpg |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
Excited to see what happens with this one.

Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
Nice project, :metal:
|
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
in kansas, 49 and older has one distinct advantage. no MVE required, just title and tag from bill of sale.
http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...pslsbi8hdx.jpg ordered every piece of glass and rubber from LMC for the cab. 90 dollars for a window channel kit, good googly moogly it better be silver plated. |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
Awesme, cant wait to see more.
|
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
That's cool that all you needed was a bill of sale to register it. This is the reason mos projects wind up never getting finished.
|
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
kansas is pretty good about combined bodies. my 65 was previously a 62 on the same chassis, the MVE trooper told me because I had a bill of sale for the 62 and a title for the 98, he would recommend titling as a 98. I told him I would crush it first, went and bought a 65 with a clean title and did the swap a second time. It was hard because I used the s10 floor and firewall, so that had to be redone.
They didnt have a problem with it though, and even if I didnt have a bill of sale or title they would have given it a new KS issued VIN. |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
Great to see you have the paperwork in order! Getting the paperwork done immediately (before any real money is spent) is a lesson I learned a long time ago (and it wasn't entirely painless, I might add). Good luck on your frame swap, can't wait to see pictures. I'm currently building a 1955 Task Force truck using a modified Trailblazer frame.
|
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
yeah I learned that on the 62 C10 + 98 S10. get the title in hand before any work.
I got (what I think is) the last piece I needed for the swap. The elusive 92 auto s10 pedal assembly, I will cut it a bit but this is how I plan to use the 99 column, it is a combination column mount/brake pedal assembly. http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps7rodov48.jpg tomorrow, wood! body crane! found a neat set of plans for a 2x4 gantry system and sold some of my parts to go towards a pair of chain falls. |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
well I was wrong about the last piece. Ordered the speedway radiator today and a B&M 70264 super cooler for the 4l60e.
and then I made a big mistake, I talked to a guy about some ART tubular control arms he had for sale and made an offer I didnt really think he would take, my plan being to use my tubing bender to extend the arms slightly and keep from using spacers on the front. while I was waiting I got in touch with a custom shop known for their arms and he said he could do that, make them slightly longer, which is really tricky because the s10 arm mounts angle towards the rear on the uppers and towards the front on the lowers, so you have to be careful changing length because you can get the balljoints all whacked out. I said great, ordered them up, checked my pms and oops. guy said yes to my offer. I thought april was the cruelest month? anywho, after double dipping on control arms I am pretty sensitive to what stuff costs now haha. its all scheduled to arrive next week, except the fancy custom control arms. good timing because I am off next week, through the 27th! investors: buy stock in pb blaster and tetanus boosters! here are pics of the ART arms for the TTIWWP guys. http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...pswkiia5ch.jpg |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
Nice progress. What's so elusive about the 92 auto s10 pedal assembly?
|
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
Its more than 10 years old, so none of the yards around here have any, took a lot of calling around to find one.
man speedway ships fast. I ordered the radiator at 2:57pm yesterday http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...psm2knu8gk.jpg |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
I took a couple weeks off and by the end of the first week I realized there wouldnt be any time, kept getting called back in. of the 10 days I was off, 4 were weekends and 6 I was either on a conference call or in the office.
but I did get some more parts. I got two cardboard frieght 1 ton chain falls for my homemade gantry, the gal was so sweet, got the sale price and the single item discount on multiple tickets. and picked up some universal motor mounts from speedway, made a mistake and ordered the new s10 engine side mounts, need the older ones. and today I picked up some wheels, I think they would look sweet on the old gal with some big and little tires. do you think I should run em? or flip em? http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...pskzqby3hq.jpg |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
Any progress, or just filling up your table with new parts :)
|
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
nothing yet. downsized my work schedule and have been taking care of deferred maintenance on the family cars and family home. between last week and this week, I have
changed the fuel pump in the sonoma changed the cylinder head on daughters CRV changed blower motor in acura, fixed recalcitrant window in same changed brakes and upper arms on grandmas crv, as well as put on a new hood and lights (hit deer) changed taillights in pilot (hail) drove to tulsa and picked up a new stove and dishwasher, then installed them installed task lighting for new stove fixed ceiling fan in kitchen cleaned garage. oh and we are adding on 1000 sq ft AGL with a matching basement. I did get some new floors from rockauto/goodmark, under $100 for both sides shipped, pretty good deal I thought compared to LMC, who charges an arm and a leg for shipping even though they are in Lenexa, the UPS hub for Wichita bound deliveries. Maybe tomorrow I start on the 49 again, have to do a scrap run. |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
I understand that! Projects are meant to be fun anyways, and not feel like another "chore". When I'm back in the ict, maybe I can swing by and help you out on the '49. I'm just off of 53rd and 135 and I have a '54 that I'm working on too. btw, I recognized your 65 and I think I've met you once before.

Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
nice to see you again jer, hope the blazer brakes work out for you
intake gaskets on the "golden suffering" 49 donor suffered a radiator event. I had been letting my 16 year old bomb around in the truck but noticed a little steam when she parked home from school. I took it for a blast and the temp shot right up. The radiator showed a little water leak at the seam, so I topped up the fluids and gave LD2 grandmas crv for the time being. The next day I picked up some electrical for the addition and had real steam on the highway, then the heat went away.....parked and checked the rad, empty, checked the oil, about 2 gallons too full. 4.3 intake gaskets. ordered the felpro kit, metal gaskets and all the odds and ends like fuel orings and such. tore down. look how bad this went for the gaskets. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m.../IMG_9170.jpeg someone had done the job once before and didnt use metal gaskets, and didnt replace the intake bolts either. cleaning up, milkshake city. this is before scraping and cleaning the gasket surfaces, settle dahn nah http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m.../IMG_8464.jpeg had to replace the radiator, it had a 7 inch long crack on the front side of the tank, unseen until replacement. got a used one since I have a new aluminum one for the swap all done! http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...G_8503JPG.jpeg got a new gauge cluster too, the stepper motors in here will find their way to the original 49 gauges. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m.../IMG_1415.jpeg I am currently laying out patterns for s10 swap body mounts for the plasma! |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
picked up another bed today. got a good deal, passenger fender is a little worse but having those pieces of running board included is nice.
I should come out alright selling the old bed. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_8656.jpg in this picture you can see how nice using the sonoma bed floor will be, it will fill it end to end. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_8666.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_8667.jpg this truck was around the corner, nice example of a 3600 long bed. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_8640.jpg |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
nice find. look a lot better than the old one.
|
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
well looks like I got another upgrade.
I am swapping rear end gears in my 65, so I have been cruising craplist for a disc blazer rear end. I stumbled on a guy selling a 4.3 and auto trans for a sonoma. the ad says he bought it from an impound auction, the owner rolled it and didnt have comprehensive insurance. He bought it for parts so he cut the roof off and gutted it. I get there to look at it and it is a 2003 with 79k miles. (!) I gave him $300 for everything seen below. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9215.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9216.jpg stuck my rallies on it so I can sell the swirls. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9217.jpg I verified the mileage and the startup, the rad has a hole in it so we didnt run it long but the oil is clean and the trans fluid very red. its an extended cab so some shortening is in the future but its literally everything I need and I dont need to anger the wife god by tearing apart the tremendously useful longbed I already had. I am going to rebuild the front suspension because I can tell one of the balljoints is bad. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9220.jpg with the 49 behind it! http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9219.jpg |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
whaddyaknow, rpo code said leather steering wheel and it is. neat, never seen one on an s10.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9247.jpg pull the bag http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9251.jpg trusty 4 way to loosen (but not remove) the center nut http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9253.jpg firm tug left http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9257.jpg firmer tug right http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9259.jpg viola. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9260.jpg got a bunch done. the wiring harness is actually attached to the dash, so I had to pull the dash and strip the vents and airbag and finally the harness out. almost everything is disconnected on the inside, tomorrow I will do the firewall side and pull the remainder of the cab sheetmetal. I will save the HVAC and steering portions of the firewall, and the tranny tunnel too it will be easier than making one. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9268.jpg The front frame horns look a little twisted, more than I saw at first, so when I grind the seam to shorten the frame I may just replace the front clip. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m..._9228.JPG.jpeg luckily this donor is rich with stuff I dont need and will sell on. the local craplist has s10 frames for 100-150, I should make at least that much selling the unicorn dash panel (03 had a double din radio opening) and double din radio, leather wheel and air bags, wheels, and other stuff. noticed today that the seatbelts are both there, sweet, one less thing to buy. |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
Nice score! So does this mean there will be more progress on the 49 build in the near future?
|
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
A good frame shop could square that frame horn up.

Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
I stripped the firewall today and removed the s10 cab.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9269.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9271.jpg pulled what was left of the s10 firewall and floor http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9275.jpg started prepping to pull the 49 cab. pulled the steering wheel and column and the pedals. used the grinder and cut off wheel to remove anything stubborn like the seat frame and the shifter and the gas tank That worked so well that I just buzzed everything on the firewall that would keep the cab from lifting. that went so fast I used it to disconnect all the radiator and heater hoses and everything else. what a satisfying medieval tool. just bzz bzz your troubles away. need to clean out the cab, thinking compressed air will do it. I dont want to suck up all the raccoon turds with my shop vac. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9280.jpg tomorrow I will pull the 49 cab, clearance it a bit, and plop it on the s10 frame. |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
That mess is worse than mine was, and mine was packed under the seat.
|
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
I got the firewall bits I want to use cut out
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m..._9281.JPG.jpeg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m..._9283.JPG.jpeg and the rest chopped up and thrown away http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m..._9284.JPG.jpeg then I swept the "shop" http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9287.jpg then I went cruising. today's weather was just staggeringly brilliant, so I went cruising for about 3 hours. downtown, west, east. helped my brother buy a stove, the guy had two shelbys a gt500kr and a 67 he was building as a clone. he gushed over my truck and I gushed about his cars but declined my request for a couple pictures. I did take a snap of mine in his driveway though. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9290.jpg |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
Are you going to graft the S10 firewall onto the 49?
I was looking for info on this if you have any links could you please share. |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
sorry, I havent seen anyone do it before. I am definitely using the HVAC, because GM air conditioning is not air conditioning, its REFRIGERATION. and I will use the trans tunnel and gas pedal. the piece I cut out measures 57 inches wide, and the firewall between hood hinges only 51, so I have some cutting to do.
my 65 uses the s10 firewall and floor. |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
I will keep an eye on your build as it seems to be the way I may be going.
Your 65 is kick a$$! Thanks. |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
made a deal on a longbed rolling frame not fiiiiiiiiiive minutes ago.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...lq_600x450.jpg it was more than I wanted to pay, but I was looking for any frame, and this doesnt need shortened or lengthened. I figure 3 hours of my time is worth the difference. working alone, using the rattle gun to take off the body bolts, neither the wrench nor the ratchet would stay put. this worked great http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9298.jpg my powerful spidey senses tell me the front mount isnt quite ready to let go after 65 years. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9304.jpg this is my last update till after easter I think. lots of stuff to do in the house before the big family dinner. |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
so I bought a longbed frame from a friend, but he lived two towns away. I called for a tow, but $150 to tow a $250 frame offended my sensibilities. I was thinking about a way just to flat tow it since it was a roller. There were tow bars on craplist, $100... but cardboard freight had one on sale for 70, and with a 25% off coupon it was 56 out the door. its made with some brackets that bolt to a flat bumper or to special brackets you install on the car, I didnt have either. so I drilled a 1/2" hole in the core support mounts and viola!
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9314.jpg I safety strapped it and used a third to bind up the steering. once I had the wheels pointed straight it was golden time. the 53 mile trip on surface streets was uneventful. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9315.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9316.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9317.jpg called up family and friends and moved it over http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9324.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9319.jpg time for chopping! I already cut off the rear frame for the bumper. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9325.jpg |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
6" slicer blade in my metabo grinder made short work of that old chassis. I got tired of hunting the right sockets to take things apart and just started slicing the bolts off, then slicing rivets off, then cutting the frame. saved the front bumper, rear bumper, running boards, and hardly anything else.
this thing weighed a ton, literally. $50 cherry picker and a giant strap I found in the road last year and a little shove and it went in the super pyooter. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9327.jpg got everything except the axles (you can see the front one in the distance) thrown away and cleaned the "shop". http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9329.jpg my wife fainted. its been clogged up with that 49 for about a year now. I gave that chassis the best shot to get reused, I have been running a craigslist ad $100 OBO for weeks now without a single call. I might hold on to the axles for some truck bed trailers. |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
Good looking build you go going on. If you run acrooss anymore KS beds let me know, I would like to find an original green one.
I see people trying to sell AD chassis on CL for $500+, thought you could at least gett $100 for yours. That does'nt give me much hope. My body is comming off a 1-ton chassis, I'd like to sell it or even sell it for scrap weight to anyone who could use it. |

it had the granny 1st 4 spd too, thought someone should have wanted that for sure. I have bought almost every bed I found in two years, which is three found and two bought. I bought this latest one because it was green, I wanted it to match the cab too. actually it looks like a better match to your green, my cab is green to the primer but yours looks like thin green over a blue base, which is what the bed is. I'll keep an eye out for you though! it was supposed to rain all day but it only rained a little in the morning and threatened it the rest of the day. had to pull the drivetrain and all the parts I needed off the 03 I think I am getting all my money out of the $50 cherry picker and free in road strap http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9357.jpg look at them bent rails http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9359.jpg rolled the rear end out, I think that was the easiest one ever http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9361.jpg easiest way to pull springs/control arms with no weight in the front http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9362.jpg where I quit today http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9363.jpg all the saved parts in the corner of the shop http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9364.jpg this is how I keep my "old man gold" s10 in line, I cut up another s10 right in front of it. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9366.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9373.jpg I listed the eaton rear end out of the 49 cheap because I didnt want to just throw it away. the guy showed up and offered $2 less, I acquiesced. haha do you think those rivets will hold? http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m..._9367.JPG.jpeg nope. but it lasted long enough to get it in the truck before popping. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m..._9368.JPG.jpeg oh! and the BEST THING about my "use every part" mantra... my $50 cherry picker didnt come with a handle, so I was using pliers to release and a long 1/2" extension to jack. not anymore! this is the spare tire rod from the 03 I chopped up. you wouldnt believe how perfect it works, like it was made for it. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9370.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9371.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9372.jpg I still need some random s10 parts for the 49, and I was looking for a disc brake 4x4 rear end for the 65, I cant use the 03 because the pinion is different. I am worried that the 84 rear is 3.08 or lower and the wrong series. so I have been keeping my eyes peeled for a parting blazer on craplist. saw one for sale today with "make offer" in the ad, a 98 with some body damage. I offered what I thought I would spend on the rear, and he said yes, come get it. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9388.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9384.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9385.jpg the battery was dead dead deadski so I left my slow charger there hooked up so I could pick it up tomorrow. I cant believe (my wife is chagrined, wryly upset) that I just cleared the last parts s10 out of the driveway and I have already replaced it. 4/17: I left my charger on it there overnight, went back this morning and it cranked really well but no start. I got under it and banged on the plastic tank, sure enough I heard the float arm bouncing off the bottom. ran for a gas can and... http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h_IMG_9389.mp4 it started right up. I checked the trans, shifts ok, the 4x4, works ok, lights all work, AC froze me out in about 15 seconds. oil pressure good, came up to temp, seat moves back and forth and up and down. the tach was dead but I think that may be a fluke, it was bouncing all over the place when I was cranking it. drove home like a newborn. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h_IMG_9392.mp4 tried out 4lo on the dirt road, http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h_IMG_9393.mp4 here is the kink. GT4 G80, 3.73 limited slip. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9398.jpg now I have to decide whether to part it out for parts I need or fix and keep |
Re: 49 3600, s10 swap, project boogie
its on a non highway reg right now and would cost 4-500 to take off, and 4-500 to halfway fix the rear end damage, making dollars very small if selling as a blazer. it has the optional 3:73 ratio g80 rear and I could make more just pulling and selling that one piece.
my thoughts have turned from parting out to building another 47-55. do you think a 4x4 s10 swapped 47-55 has any value? I have seen guys use the blazer 4x4 chassis before but always convert to 2wd. this thing runs PERFECT and the 4x4 works flawless even in 4lo. I have the wherewithal to extend the wheelbase. good use for the chassis? build it as a slightly lifted on 31s? slightly lowered on late model camaro rims? anyway, back on topic for the booger, had some house work to do. today finally cleaned out the 49. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...h/IMG_9429.jpg I was lucky and scored new floor halves from rockauto on closeout for ridiculous money, got my blue wrench (plasma) back from kylie and have the space by the garage cleared out again. progress is imminent. |

Do you have a title to sell the Blazer? I'd fix, sell, and put that money towards your build. After you swap out the parts out on it that you want of course. Though I'm sure you already know, the front sway bar on those have a larger diamerter than the S-10. Don't know if the 4WD is any different than the 2WD though. I grabbed a fat sway bar off a 2WD Blazer at Pick N Pull.

Tagging along to follow your S-10 firewall/floor swap. My 50 three window does not need them, but the five window parts truck does, so since I have a complete S-10 and an five window cab, may have to consider that for a second project...
