Lots of swb C10s, some heavily modified, but I guess those are indeed the best sellers. But, these are the ones that jumped out at me -
The GMC reminds me of Skrenly's. The 75 K20 has 5900 orig miles. The 54 was (supposedly) an actual forest service truck. The Blazer in Post #5 above is sweet too - nice Highlander. |

Well, it was fun lookin anyway! HEY, there's Tootsie! Remember that build? Hope it goes for a fortune, incredible truck.

Re: Barrett Jackson scottdale 67-72 entries
I'll go the BJ for more pics later but pretty sure the silver 70 Blazer above was formerly owned by a board member and is a TOTM winner. I actually passed on buying that when it was listed on my local CL while in MT. Quality build. See build here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=645076

Quite a few nice original trucks in there. That '75 K20, oh my! Kinda sad to see Tootsie, in there. That poor thing has been passed around like a hot potato after getting sold by the builder.

Boy, you aren't kidding the 67-72 brigade was in full force at BJ. We were there Saturday and there are some top-notch trucks this year! We've been going to that auction for years and this is by far has the most trucks. The short beds have the most present. The 67 'burb was also really cool; it was a magazine truck too! Here are a couple pics.

Re: Barrett Jackson scottdale 67-72 entries
didn't tootsies not meet reserve last year? That stock Blazer is sweet.

Re: Barrett Jackson scottdale 67-72 entries
The owner of that 67 Sub. 4x4 was from the west side of Mi. Sweet truck!

Re: Barrett Jackson scottdale 67-72 entries
let us know if anything hits that 117K mark somebody was askin last year......

Re: Barrett Jackson scottdale 67-72 entries
an orange/white 70 k10 went for 125k on sunday. saturday was the big hitters day so the 70 made the biggest sale on sunday. it looked to be original.
most all of the custom 67-72 c10 trucks went for anywhere between 40k-60k with a few going above and below. there were a surprising amount of 71-72's compared to 67-70's though. |
Re: Barrett Jackson scottdale 67-72 entries
I was watching Mecum on tv a couple weeks back and saw some nice trucks sell for big money. But they did look very nice and well done.

yeah, I about fell off my couch at the price of the 125K one! I too will refrain from saying what I though it was worth, because apparently, I don't know anything!

This one gets my vote for the best Chev/GMC example of the whole auction, and it sold for only around $60K :) Coulda bought two for the price of the $125 K10!
I'd love to see the SPID. But a real swb YE9 with buckets, that's pretty much the top of the heap for $. Only thing it's was "missing" was a big block - but I think I could learn to love it anyway... What a gorgeous example. |

Is the wiper knob missing on the white GMC? Wonder what it would have brought if the knob was on there?

Yes, member sameyrasmea owned it for a long time. It’s the exact truck that came to mind when I mentioned that the white one didn’t have a big block. Has always been my idea of the most valuable 67-72 I’ve ever seen. Has been sold as you mentioned Scott, and I believe the new owner has repainted it a different color. I’ve always wanted to see how it turned out.
