Dual Steering Stabilizer, Do I need it?

I have some 36 swampers on my new chevy truck project. I was wondering if you guys think I should get a dual stabilizer? Any brand preferences? I have an 82 half ton with 6 inch lift and 36 14.5-15's. I am actually thinking of changing to 35's in the future. Thanks :)

Are you having any problems with your steering now? If not then I wouldn't even mess with it. If you are having a problem and you have narrowed it down to the stabilizer then I would put in a new factory style unit and see if the problem is fixed. Aftermarket dual units look tacky in my opinion.

My 78 was all over the road before I parked it. It had a good alignment and the shop suggested I get a better steering stabilizer. I was just wondering since this truck needs to drive real nice. I plan to drive it everyday, so any upgrades that improve overall driveability are a must. Thanks :D

We have installed the MOOG stabilizer with great success on 2wd lowered trucks, never done a 4x4.

If you're experiencing a lot of bump-steer, steering stabilizers will go far to dampen that out. I've heard that dual steering stabilizers are recommended for rigs running 35" tires or taller. If you're worried about asthetics, there are dual setups that are end-for-end, versus the two parallel stabilizers. Check out the shock absorber and lift kit manufacturers' websites for options.
