Super nice build. Love your shop addition. It's gotta be nice to have the dirty and clean sections to work in.

Thanks very much. I won't kid you... I love having both sides to do work in. My wife said "we're not going to be snowbirds and go down south for the winter" because all of our family is nearby. So I told her then I need something to do during the Buffalo winters here. Because of that she agreed to the workshop addition. I definitely made out on the deal.

Well after a big delay and no time to post, I'm back at it again. I want to get this build thread caught up.

I ended up having a leak with the Lube Locker gasket set in my Ford 9". Had to tear it apart and reinstall it using good old Permatex Gear Oil gasket maker. Got the center member installed and rear end back together.

Tear down and remove the Lube Locker gasket

Re-installed the 9" center member.

Finally got the truck fully assembled and made it a "Roller". It's been a long time coming and it's finally on some wheels. The only thing is I'm not happy about the stance and the rake it has at this point. Hopefully some adjustments can be made with the coilovers to bring the rear end down.

Finally a roller on wheels, but the stance needs work

Great progress so far! I'm along for the rest of the ride. FYI, if you are doing a factory dashpad and getting a reproduction, you may want to test fit it now to see if you have to slot the holes any. It's definitely doable after paint and windows though. Hindsight being what it is, it would've been a lot easier at this stage before paint.

EDIT* Well, I just went back and read this whole thing. Gotta say this lift point is pretty nifty. Is it something you made?

Now that the fender modification is complete. I moved the truck back to the cleaner part of my shop to set the engine back in for some fit up.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm planning to use the factory dashpad, so I know it fits. I'm just planning on having it recovered.

The lift arm was made by a friend of mine. I came up with the design and he built it. He has some pretty sophisticated machining capabilities in his business. Worked out great.
