Aloha from Mississippi!

Just wanted to introduce myself; I'm Jeremy.

Moved to Mississippi from Hawaii in March to be with my fiancee while she finishes grad school. It's been an adjustment after 12 years in Paradise and figured I better get to work on a project that will keep my mind off of the waves I can't ride.

Since I had to sell my 69' IH Scout when I left Hawaii (better off as a beach truck) I started looking for a project truck that I have been wanting to do since I was in high school; 1965 C-10 Stepside. Spent about two months on Craigslist going back and forth between a big project (cheap starter) or a small project (blow my budget and some of the wedding fund) and finally found a good medium project. I bought her a ring and me a rig, seems fair. :dum:

She's happy, I'm happy, but most importantly...SHE's happy!

Thank you all for the VERY informative bulletin board and all of the help you have given each other. So much info here, I only had to log in to buy parts and subscribe to threads! I'll get my build thread started soon.

Welcome I am new hear also.

I worked at the Chevrolet sheetmetal stamping plant that stamped all the body parts for your truck except the hood and two front fenders. It was located in Indianapolis. We also made all of the seat covers. The plant is closed and being tore down. Here is an image of the stamping plant of what it looked like in 1965.
