New shocks

I have a '05 GMC 1500 needing new shocks. The truck is leveled only adjusted the torsion keys on the front. When buying new shocks do I need some that will fit for a leveled front end? Or will I be fine with getting any size of shock?

You will be fine with the stock length. I used KYB GAs Adjust on my 05 Sierra Crew 2x and they work great.

It depends on how much you lifted it. sometimes the stock shocks are fine, sometimes they have a problem at full extension like when you go over a speed bump, curb or large hole. when I leveled my 1500hd 1.5" with just tightening the keys I would hear a hard clunk sound when ever I went over a speed bump. If you have this problem you have 2 options, first you could buy some extenders from summit that lift the lower mounting point so a stock shock works or do what I did and buy a longer travel shock. Bilstine was the only shock I could find that made a shock for our trucks with a torsion key lift. When I inspected them, they were pretty shot, the new shocks being Bilstine are awesome and the clunk went away.

That being said I have heard that stock shocks should work just fine, they just didn't work for me.
