My Project.

Here's some info on myself and my project. It's a 66 chevy 1/2 ton shortbed fenderside. 2 wheeldrive. Has a 292 inline 6 with an hei, Clifford 4 barrel intake and Clifford headers with a 600 cfm Edelbrock 4 barrel. Everything else on the motor is stock. Stock 4 speed stick. Interior is all original minus the tachometer, and fuel pedal. Interior originally was painted a graylike metallic. Seat was redone before I got it. Truck itself was originally blue, and white on the outside and the motor originally green. Has stock steering and differential( 3.90 ratio I believe). Tires are 30/9.50/15 remington country tires mounted on stock non-split rims. My name is Tom Mc'Cauley and I have owned my truck for 7 years, Three years ago I started restoring it. A friend of mine found it in a revene and pulled it out and I got it off of him. My friend has given me much info on this truck and I store it outside, under a tarp when is rains or snows. The truck was used as a log truck all its life until early 2000 when it was finally re-tired. It was never really taken care; saw many heavy loads of wood and was used as an off-road truck. My favorite parts source is Classic Parts of America and The Truck and Car Shop. I mainly use it for hauling, but I never hesitate to go for a cruise in it. I am putting my future plans to work now by doing a frame off resto. Words of advice to people just startin a project is Never give up or back down, you will alway run into problems and parts will always be spendy, but enjoy what you have and enjoy buying what you can cause before you know it you will be done and wishing you weren't! So, by that time buy another one! Here's a link to my build thread http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=596643
