Classic Heartbeat 69-72 Blazer Body Mount Kit.....

We have started negotiations with a manufacturer to produce our "Classic Heartbeat" exclusive 69-72 Blazer body mount kit. The only rubber kit out there is LMC's kit and it is complete garbage. We have been refusing to sell Blazer body mounts because there isn't anything that meets our standards. This is what brings on this announcement. In our continued effort to provide quality parts, we will be producing these ourselves. Our hope is to be able to provide a lifetime warrantee with ours, but if not it will be a long one. We have NOS originals to copy so they should be great!!

Anyway, I just wanted everyone to know that we are in negotiations and hope to be able to offer a great product at a competitive price.... WES

Sounds great. Mine has a 2" body lift and I'd like to get it back to stock height, so I'll be looking forward to seeing what you have.

I'm also curious about the time line?! I've been debating between rubber and urethane. I know the rubber rides better, but I didn't have confidence the aftermarket mounts would last. Looks like this might resolve that problem! Count me in for a set if they'll be available soon.

Re: Classic Heartbeat 69-72 Blazer Body Mount Kit.....

Well I hopefully have some good news for everyone. After speaking to the company that I had selected to make the bushings, the company representative compared everything that I sent them to their inventory of parts. Particularly parts that were in development or had been developed. He informed me that they already had 1500 of the upper and lower cushions that go under the bed. They also have the core support bushings. At the time they were developed they wanted to assemble a complete kit. That for reasons unknown to him they never went beyond the cushions and didn't source the hardware. Therefor never produced the kit. This is where I come in. I told them to send me a couple of samples so I can compare them to new old stock that I have and give me a price to buy all of their inventory. That is potentially 6000 pieces in total!! The only cushion they don't make is the front cab mount cushions and I already have a USA made source for those. Keep in mind this is only an update and is not written in stone. I still have to compare the product to Genuine GM and come to an agreement on a price. I am only a small company and can only do so much, because we are also in the middle of developing our new exclusive 60-66 gas filler grommets.

For those of you that are wondering if these are the same cushions that LMC sells or perhaps the ones that I use to sell, the answer is no. This is a completely different manufacturer, the same that produces our 2" gas filler grommets. I hope to be able to offer a lifetime warranty with these but may be limited because the company that makes the front cab mount cushions does not. Then you are also talking about hardware that is steel that although will be plated, will rust sometime down the road. But hey the existing hardware lasted 40 years anyway...

If all goes as planned I hope to have complete kits ready within a month or two. Keep your fingers crossed. Remember I can't do anything that could break my company. The products that I develop come at a great cost and take sometimes years to recover that. I have already developed 34 products that are exclusive to Classic Heartbeat, and I do feel the financial strain of that. But my hope is in my heart of hearts, that the quality of the products we offer will shine through and keep our customers both new and old coming in for that. WES

I think I speak for most of us when I say you do a great service to offer these hard to find parts to us.

Good news! I received the samples for the bed portion of the blazer body mount set. I can honestly say that they are spot on!! I may run into some rubber flashing issues but other than that I don't see any other issues. We have not came to a conclusion as to a price yet because I am pressing hard to keep the cost down. However they have tooling development considerations they are thinking about too. Will take a few days to hammer that out. Best news of all is I am going to be able to offer a great warranty. Meanwhile here are a couple pictures to check out the product. WES

Right is reproduction and left is GM with the exception of the 3rd picture of the top of the mount and that is GM right and reproduction left.

Right is reproduction and left is GM. The picture of the upper and lower mounts together are both reproductions. WES

Re: Classic Heartbeat 69-72 Blazer Body Mount Kit.....

Also they will last at lease as long as the originals. They give me a lifetime warranty on them, however the rest of the kit is a different story. It will all be high quality, but being how it is metal parts, it would be subject to metal problems. The front cab mount cushions will be the best in the industry too. It is just I have to source everything from about 4 or 5 vendors. But what the heck, all you guys will have to do is come to me... lol WES
