pics of service trucks

I just bought a service truck body that will fit my 67 that I may put on. I would love to see some pics of other trucks with these bodies so I can get an idea of what it will look like.

Not sure there is really any con to them other then they look different. You can haul more items with them safer, most have ladder racks, most still have the same interior bed space and most you can get some type of cover for it.
I guess if you want to pull a goosekneck type of trailer it might not work well or at all.

None. There are only pros. The cons to a pickup bed are everything lays there loose and exposed to weather and thieves. Pickups are a one size fits all truck. A utility truck cn do whatever a pickup can and more

Thanks! At one time I had three, two with Reading utility beds, the third with bedside toolboxes. That's a K/20 with a 4" lift and 14.50/37-16.5 tires

This 70 GMC one ton had the utility box installed on the cab/chassis when new, and the Alaskan Camper at the same time. Has been this configuration all its life and, with the box storage compartments, is one handy rig. Made and painted the trailer to match - from a 69 Chev C20. All just painted and tires, etc. need to be cleaned up. Waiting for some nicer wheels and some side stripes or graphics - any suggestions?

It does need something to break up all that white. Maybe just lettering the bed? Awsome truck though Posted via Mobile Device

Re: pics of service trucks

Hmmm........

First of all,how about painting the wheels argent silver and maybe the same around the camper in line with the window (including the frame)? Now you've taken care of breaking it up a bit w/o throwing any real color to it,yet. You could do that on the lower body of the cab and trailer or maybe on the cab roof to be more in line with the camper paint or not. Then,go from their with some sort of graphic. You could go with an RV-type of thing they do these days or more like a border type of band. I think a southwestern (is that played-out in NM?) Indian theme (like Cherokees used to have) would be cool or maybe a pine tree/elk or bear motif.
There's a guy here in MD that has the coolest fleet of dump trucks. They are Autocars, tan cabs,w/brown & orange (black outlines?) Eagle feather graphic on the hood and running back across the cab. Kinda reminds me of what IH did in the late-70s. The chassis and wheels (Dayton) are orange. They are just damn cool dump trucks w/o being all stainless'd and Alcoa'd up

Good looking rig.
Do the wheels Black with poverty caps and the trailer tongue to match.Maybe window moldings on the camper too.Either a small mural or signage on the sides, either the bed camper or doors.

No,I like the utility beds. The boxes serve their purpose. They don't give nearly the storage and they block your vision. I'd take them off to plow. The pluses are they can be on/off easily and they give high sides for hauling. I just like the truck "built with purpose" over "I just decided to do this",but that's me. I'd rather run with a utility bed even if I'm not using it. Not to sound big-headed macho, but it's a real man's truck . Think about it. You're never a helpless dependent and more a savior in most situations because you got what you need right there. Kind like a Boy Scout being prepared or always carrying a pocket knife. You got tools!
